Curious- do you lobby dodge when you see one in the lobby? If so, why?

I never lobby dodge in general, neither for obvious squads, special characters, last second switches, map offerings or anything else.

The only time i ever intentionally DCed was against a group abusing a fat shame spot on swamp back in 2018.

You don't want to eat a meaty combo into a nasty super and possibly get 0-to-death'd.

No but i used to tunnel them. After the nerfs, i dont feel the need to tunnel much as it became a bit easier for killers and people bringing coh feels fewer as well.

Maybe they will nerf Coh further with the upcoming changes, that would be nice <3

    I never dodge lobbies.

Sure, but the likelyhood of a michaela having Coh is way higher than the average survivor

I've seen more Nea and Claudette players with COH than I ever have Mikaela players I'm ngl.

Nope, Mikaelas are the less toxic survivors in my personal experience and I love this character <3

I never dodge as killer because of a specific character being played. Most COH users aren’t even mikaelas from my experience

Killers pay attention to lobbies? What? You don't have to stop looking at your phone until the match actually loads.

  • ShinobuSK
    ShinobuSK Member Posts: 5,279

I would love to stop and check the lobby to dodge it for whatever lame reason, but you see this YT video Im watching is more important.

Then 1min in the match I am surprised there are 4 steves or something

I'm not afraid of CoH, so no. Pyramid head doesn't care.

I play Mikey who's an insta down killer so I don't really care about COH boons.

So accurate, it's always a Nea or Claudette. When I play Mikaela and hear a boon go up I cringe because I'm positive the killer is going to hunt me down. I think the fact that I carry a medkit all the time is what saves me lol

She is my fav survivor. I won't dodge lobby when i saw her.

Before i'll start my rant, I have many survivors I hate, like Bill/Ash, cuz they're loud. Megs, cuz you know, they're usually your stereotypical Megs. But i don't dodge them.

    And then there's Mikaelas....

I dodge them as both survivor and killer.

It's not about boons, cuz boons are teachable. And I even prefer to have them in game when i'm a killer, cuz they can be used against survivors.

It's about my experiences with them. Since she came out I NEVER met an useful Mikaela. Bonus points if she has a flashlight. With it, you know she will be double useless. You won't see her on gens, she won't unhook you, heal you. If she has flashlight with her she never will save you, ofc she'll shine into killer's butt, but that's it.

I just want to know WHAT ARE THEY DOING if they're not doing anything needed for the match.

Totems? I run small game, i see count of totems destroyed and it doesn't go up, and i don't see anything booned.

Looping the killer? It would be a possibility if i didn't make sure that killer is on me most of the times and gens came to a halt.

When I'm playing the killer, games with Mikaelas stall into infinity too, they'll never rescue their mates, gens don't move and they ain't Blendettes, they don't hide in corners all game, cuz I would be able to find them, I love playing hide and seek with Blendettes.

Do they just disappear into another dimension and come back when their entire team is dead?

tl;dr - games with Mikaelas were never fun for me, thus I shall dodge them whenever I notice them

maybe that would make sense back when her chapter dropped, but it's been over 6 months, everyone can have CoH by now

God, dodging games 'cause of a specific character in the lobby is so 2016-2017. To answer the question, though: No, I don't. I do usually look out for names, though -- if I recognize someone who was particularly toxic to the other players in the match, I avoid entertaining them and just leave.

Nope. Boons are everywhere now, if i know someone has a boon, get used to a hook in you.

I'm a Felix main and I have COH sometimes and have been I'm matches with other Michaela players who haven't brought boons. Seems a bit illogical to do this imo.

My only dodges are if I'm learning a new killer and a TTV or YT pops up or if I see 4 flashlights and I don't have LB on that killer.

Hello there! I tend to run Shadowstep + COH + Mettle of Man + a random exhaustion perk on Felix. 😂So yeah, you really can't tell and therefore I never assume a character has their own perks.

However, although I have no bias against specific survivors and I actually like Michaela - I sometimes play her as well - I have to say that for some reason do not tend to get either left to die or even sandbagged by other characters as much as I do by Michaelas, who then proceed to teabag at the exit if they make it that far. I can never even tell if this is intentional or if they're really just that clueless, but it might even be the latter. For some reason it does feel like a lot of new players gravitate towards Michaela - and COH or Clairvoyance may also be perks that are quite appealing to newcomers to the game.

From my experience people who play her are very bad at the game so it usually makes my chances better

Not really, Mikaela is just a skin, sure the odds of COH increase with her present but that's about the only real downside

At this point, the teachable perks have been spread out to their other characters already. That might make sense during the first few weeks of release.
