Why the toxicity against hag?
Seriously, play piggy and everyone is nice, play hag and suddenly everyone becomes toxic
trust me not EVERY single hag player is toxic and just because they put a trap near a hook doesn't mean its toxic play, like u can counter that trap by either crouching or a flashlight or just press E and run into a wall and then blame the killer try to outplay
instead of just throwing every single swear word at them after the game or just t-bagging and dying because somehow tbagging a hag is VERY Smart and doesn't make the killer play extremely toxic and actually get rewarded because you know THEY ARE PLAYING HAG

If I see a hag I follow them and trigger every trap. That’s a good counter but probably looks toxic

Thats the solid counter play, its super annoying as the hag. I dont think its toxic though.

Best strategy especially if you have a flashlight wastes the hags time and teammates won't have to deal with traps

It is an ancient enemy from 2016. Lots of bad memories and grudges.

I find people are extremely annoying when I play Pig - either super BM, or they insist on trying that meme and then getting salty when I don't just let them go.
Hag...it's a combination of her being rare, so people aren't sure how to play against her, and her being a bit different to other killers in that you can't just play the same way and expect to win.
Plus - a lot of Hags proxy camp with traps around hooks, which is a bit annoying to go against.

Consensus seems to be that people dislike playing against Hag, so they're more likely to get cheesed off and have that attitude bleed into their behavior in and post-game. It doesn't help that she's designed to come back to hooks and people hate that; we're all really quick to assume the killer intends to camp and tunnel, regardless of the killer's actual intentions.
People are also likely to be in a bad mood in Hag matches because they're pissed at their teammates - Hag is one of those killers like Legion, Myers, and Plague where one person being a dip and not knowing what they're supposed to do versus that killer can directly screw everyone else over. And Hag isn't common, so a lot of players don't know her counterplay or how to time actions against her.
