SMITE getting slipknot characters but not DBD

so smite is getting the characters from the band slipknot as playable characters but not DBD? They look like horror characters so I mean at least if they made slipknot band members as legendary skins for the legion that would work and be cool.

Smite is just the better option when it comes to obtaining licences tbh. In recent months they've had Avatar,TMNT, Stranger Things, Slipknot, Transformers, and i'm sure there's more on the way. Whereas this game is pretty limited with skins, let alone if they can hold the licence.

    No. Absolutely not.

Huh? One of them is a tengu and another is a killer clown. That is pretty horror. I think maybe you are confusing horror with horrific or something, he is not literally scared or he does not literally believe they are killers which seems to be your concern with the last paragraph lol... talk about Grandmas.

Myers is a horror icon, and yeah... It is just William Shatner's face. Pretty much every Slipknot mask is a little more embellished. Hope that makes things a little more clear for you, Aven.

We should get Rollins as the Survivalist from Wrong Turn 2 or the dude from Feast! Fat Hank rules!

ok, Ash williams is also a real life person who kills in a fictional world. So how is it inappropriate? It's just a video game so honestly it would be cool if they added them in DBD. Plus SMITE added them so it's not weird at all imo. Whats weird is thinking it's inappropriate to have people in a video game kill.

Look, us smite players (and dastardly and rogue Loki mains) aren't so excited about slipknot anyways.

I'm just happy I got the skin that was stolen from me so long ago...

Wait... are you implying DBD not having Slipknot characters is a bad thing?

As much as I love Slipknot, they have no place in DBD. I'm sure the dev team could make a cheeky charm or something to show their appreciation if they're fans, but they do not fit as killers or survivors.

As someone who playes both DBD and Smite....I couldn't care less about Slipknot content. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy for those who are fans to get such content that they could enjoy. Personally, I'd just ignore it. As far as Slipknot in DBD goes, I'd be against actual people being put in the game (unless they are well aware of what brutal ways they will be depicted as dying or killing in game.) Though, I think it'd be much more acceptable if certain survivors in DBD had clothing cosmetics that resembled Slipknot members, or even just simply wearing their merch.

And since we are on the subject of Smite...I'd be way more excited to see a crossover between Smite and DBD. lol.

    Yeah, BHVR, what gives?

You don't think Slipknot, Adventure Time, TMNT, Transformers, (insert more Smite Skins) belong in DBD?

    Shocking!

I know many might not understand this, but on stage personalities are also fictional, bands like KISS and Alice Cooper wear makeup and perform as someone *other than* themselves.

Vincent Damon Furnier is a real person, Alice Cooper is not. ;)

You do have a point there. But I'd still argue that stage personalities as such are nigh impossible to separate from the actual person themselves. As such, it's still effectively the actual person we'd put in the game.

Just playing Devils Advocate tbh, I wouldn't want bands in the game either ;)

I wouldn't want to see a band put into DbD personally. I'm not a fan of Slipknot but it certainly wouldn't fit the genre of what we do in this game. Now, if it was a skin for Jeff, such as a shirt or cosplay, that would work since Jeff is a perfect match. And Jeff needs more cosmetics. We need more love for Jeff!
