Darkness Revealed better then bbq and chili

So with the inevitable bbq and chili being changed for better or for worse Darkness revealed may be the new bbq and chili Perk to be used especially on ranged killers like huntress and trickster with no limit to the range from you like bbq you can find even the most stealthy of survs Thoughts?

I didn't know darkness revealed, reveals survivors around ALL lockers. I thought it was just the locker you opened up. Wow... i really like that perk

as long as they are within 8 meters of ANY locker you will see them even if there in your terror radius

It's definitely going to be played a lot. Can't wait to see survivors accusing killers of cheats cuz "how did you know i was there"

Its an easy pick for Trickster and Huntress.

Does it activate when Dredge teleports to or leaves a locker?

It's Heavily Map Dependent as far as usefulness:

Small/Indoor maps with lots of lockers (Coal Tower, The Game) = decently useful

Mid sized maps with a locker at almost every loop/tile (Rancid Abattoir, Grim Pantry) = meh... prolly work at least 30% of the time,

Wide open maps with fewer lockers scattered all around (Mothers Dwelling, Eyrie of Crows, Rotten Fields, Haddonfield) = Practically useless.

I feel this is also how things are gonna play out for the Dredge in regards to his Teleporting Power, Granted most gens spawn near lockers, that isn't always the case, and so I feel his surprise and chase potential will be very much determined by the map size and locker tile spawn point RNG. This will make him a very decent killer on the small-mid sized maps, but he'll probably get wrecked on larger ones, unless the devs make choosing to play him increase the amount of tiles that spawn with lockers... which means more jungle gyms for the most part, so... yeah, maybe we'll all just have to get used to the idea that he's mostly screwed by large maps.

Depends on the killer too, for mobility and ranged killers its useful, for non mobile killers its useless.

Not because its takes time to reach there, its just not worth looking for a survivor not doing gens unless you have an incentive to slug them.

    Disagreed, too inconsistent

Pretty sure it doesn't. You have to manually open a locker for it to reveal auras.

It would honestly be pretty op on Dredge if that was the case.

    Good for huntress

    It's definitely better.

If it gave 100% bloodpoints, I'd definitely use it over BBQ.

Very map dependent, if you use a offering, or as coconut says if you know you're going into a save squad then yes.

It's map dependent and not every locker is going to be convenient to open to figure out where survivors are compared to just patroling gens normally.

Like in midwich it's good because it's hard to patrol gens and lockers are everywhere.

It'll end up a niche perk on Huntress who at least has some reason to check lockers and can possibly land a follow up shot. Less so on Trickster.

Nobody uses BBQ solely for the aura reading effect besides maybe a few Huntress/Blight mains. Also, it's "than", not "then". Literally 5th grade English grammar level right here.

When I see this kind of comments I beg the killers give survs the same Perk. I’m sure every killer would say it’s totally broken

it's the same as giving killers exaustion perks, imagine if killers could sprint at you or dead hard to you and get an undeserved hit. not all perks work for both sides and object used to do that and it was hella broken especially against stealth and set up killers it destroyed them so yeah aura reading perks on survivors need to be properly balanced such as alert (which is a pretty underrated perk) and kindred

So blight and nurse? Because they can do that and get free hits.

It probably won't make it to live in its current form.

Yeah no. It takes actual planning to hit with their abilities.

It's...okay. Great on Nurse, Huntress, Dredge and maybe others - but if BBQ gets mutilated, I'll likely switch to Floods of Rage.
