Without add-ons Spirit feels like trash.
I never found her particularly strong but now she only works against average players.
- She doesn't move fast.
- When she phases she is blind but most survivors are silent (iron will). It's not like if there is grass everywhere.
- When she phases, survivors have a better idea of where she comes from than she does them.
No wonder I see about as much Spirit as I see Sadako (I cannot remember the last time I've versed one).

If all a killer player does is use her speed addons, her base is gonna feel slow. It’s still 170%.
Im not really sure why she isn’t a top played killer. She’s still DBD on ez mode.
I imagine a huge part of her dropoff came from the Stridor nerf. Cause survivors hearing her phase doesn’t make her less accurate.

The Stridor nerf was unnecessary. Plus it doesn't make up for the fact that Iron Will silences breathing in general, which it shouldn't do.

Well then it seems like you rely on add ons too much. This is what I try to tell everyone, don’t use her best add ons when you’re new to her if you want to improve.

Yeah, I'm gonna disagree on the "EZ mode". She's definitely still strong, but I think the nerfs bumped her down from that level.
The directional phasing sound changed things quite a bit, imo. Of course, I have a hearing deficit (only one good ear) so I've always played her at a disadvantage, and pre-nerf I did as much or more prediction about where a surv was going to be than environmental tracking. So survs knowing I am coming for them makes my Spirit life hard. But that just illustrates that her nerfs generally require players to hone their fine tracking skills more.
She is harder to play than she used to be, and more add on dependent. But trash? Nah.

what should Freddy-players say... he has an Iridecent Addon and... thats it.

I agree. I was excited to give her a try after the nerfs and found the power really unsatisfying to use, even after going through the trouble to unlock Stridor III on her.
I feel like spirit should be adjusted up to 4.6m/s or have her basekit cooldown/duration improved. The changes she had to give survivors more counterplay options were great, but the other changes raised her skill floor considerably without making much impact on her skill ceiling.
In her current state she doesn't feel worth learning to me. Other killers just have more interesting powers while Spirit's feels tangibly shackled down to contain the amount of power her strongest perks still afford her.

I almost never used add-ons and I still don't. Same as every other killer I use. And without add-ons that's how she feels.
If I wanted to use add-ons it would be pretty easy given how many I've accumulated over the years.
