Why do I only get Killer Daily Rituals?
Is it based on getting you to play the side you usually don’t play maybe?

Because you play too much survivor. At least that's been my assumption since whichever side I play for a while I get the opposite side dailies.

I figured this is what it was and that makes me sad because I don’t have the “cojones” to play Killer ever again.

I'm a killer main and I get like 95% killer daily rituals so I don't think it's related to which side you play less

You will get dailies of characters and roles you dont like to play most of the time

Wrong
I get 90% of daily killers rituals and i only play killer
Maybe they try to balance queue time by giving rituals of the least played role, idk

I think its just random bs, I got "escape the trial and collect item" 3 days in a row and I play mostly survivor

I almost always get killer daily rituals, I'm main killer and I have all killers and only about the half of the survivors, but I wonder why I always get the rituals for the same killers.
Almost always Huntress, Pig, Demogorgon, Pyramid Head and Deathslinger. The RNG for rituals seems to be bugged.

There should be 1 killer and 1 survivor daily ritual.

I kinda assumed it was to try and make people player different killers to get variety in matches. After all, survivors basically can all play the same. Killers can really change a match depending on their built in abilities.

Nah, thats wrong. Survivors have more dailys. Each survivor you own has a "survive and escape a match as XXX" daily.
The system simply assigns you more dailys for the side you play less.

And they also all have "Do 3 unhooks with X" and then there's the generic ones to do gens/heal/coop that can be done on anyone. Each killer has 3, their power, chase and mori. (unless I'm mistaken)

There is also kinda a killer shortage. Which could explain that the dailys prefer killer dailys.

Exactly!

They try to incentivise Killer play.
I only get so 1 surv out of 5 killer dailys.

The devs have confirmed that this is a bug.

And each Killer has "Sacrifice 2 Survivors!
So lets sum up:
Each Killer: Mori, Chase, Sacrifice 2, Power
Surv: Chased, Escape, Open Door, Unhook
Generic Surv: Coop, Repair, Heal, Sabo
So in theory, there are much more possivle rituals for survivors, but in the past week i only get killer dailies.

Yeah I rarely ever get survivor challenges. I play both sides, but have been playing a bit more survivor lately, but it's always been this way for me, more killer challenges than survivor ones.

i havent done a daily in like idk 1 year. dailys are outdated mechanic u should be able to choose if u want survivor or killers challenges and be able to drop more than 1 a day.

And they really should update the reward for doing them if they want more people to do them. 30k points really is nothing to write home about. But yeah, there really needs to be 2 daily tracks, up to 3 killer dailies and 3 survivor dailies, and you do them if you want or not, but at least you'll have some on the side you're playing if you only play one side.

I get a mix of both :p

It's pretty annoying I also wish they fixed low level killers getting mori dailys maybe make em only spawn in if a killer is level 50

I don't know the chances of individual missions, but in looking this up I just now realized that all the missions correspond to the either different emblem categories. Pretty cool!
Survivors
- Lightbringer missions require either repairing 3 generators or opening the Exits with a specific survivor
- Unbroken missions require either escaping and surviving 1 time with a specific survivor, or escaping and collecting 1 item
- Benevolent missions require healing other survivors 3 states, rescuing 3 survivors from the Hook, or performing cooperative actions for 180 seconds
- Evader missions require sabotaging 4 hooks, or being chased for 120 seconds with a specific survivor
Killers
- The Malicious mission for killers is to kill a survivor with your own hands (i.e. Mori, Devour Hope, Rancor, etc)
- Gatekeeper missions are the ones that involve using your specific killer's special ability during a match (Gatekeeper used to be called Deviousness and it's the catch all for the special ability events)
- The Chaser mission is to chase survivors for 3 minutes as a specific killer
- The Devout mission is to complete 2 sacrifices with a specific killer

This is under the assumption that generics are copied then giving to each survivor/killer.
When its entirely possible that all generics are just in the ritual pool once as copies are unneeded.
IE all unhook X survivors as Y survivor only count once for the possible selection as they are all the same ritual doing the same thing.
Meanwhile all killer powers are special as they all require different actions/mechanics and thus would logically be different rituals that can't be copied form one killer to the other.

We have 31 survivors and 28 killers. So it doesn't matter how the generic rituals are counted - there are more possible survivor ritals than killer rituals.

yeah daily rituals suck. I play killer and I get daily rituals for survivors or for killers that are locked.
DEVS need to add an option for daily rituals: [both, survivor and killer], and players should get rituals based only on killers that are unlocked.

Not long ago, I proposed to BHVR that we can select whether we want to receive only killer, only survivor dailies, or both. Some people only/mostly play one side, so getting dailies for the other side is useless for them. I hope they do something like that.

Same. I would assume it's either RNG or they really just need more killer players compared to survivors.

If you're getting dailies for killers you don't own, this is probably a bug and you should report it. To my knowledge, you shouldn't be getting any dailies for killers that you don't own.

I'm getting 66% killer and 33% survivor dailies.
I guess it's random.

Well that depends, how are daily rituals selected and how do the different killer "rite of" rituals count?
For example: Let's say they select the type of ritual first. There's 9 different types of survivor rituals and 4 different types of killer rituals. However, if the "Rite of" type doesn't actually exist for killer and every "Rite of (enter name here)" is considered its own type, then yes there would be 34 different types of killer rituals to survivors 9. However if "Rite of" is the category and then it selects which killer you get the "Rite of" of, then survivors outweigh the killer rituals 9 to 4. Also, if they just spin all the rituals and you get a completely random one, that's even worse. Take it like that and there's 129 survivor rituals and 112 killer rituals. Which, then again, the survivors would weigh out the killer rituals.
