There's literally a totem spawn in the middle of Haddonfield.
In the middle of the street in the middle of the map. The only reason my ruin wasn't cleansed immediately is because I was playing Pinhead.

Pretty good job intensifies.

You also have those on Asylum. Or what about the TL totems right in front of a gen. Right next to the survivors only objective. Might as well put them next to the survivors spawning in

I ran lethal pursuer a ton on pinhead. I saw survivors spawn by totems and or my totem spawning by a gen maybe 15/20 games. It's embarrassing.

This is the culmination of years worth of improving totem spawns.
Seriously though if it's that impossible to make spawns better than this can we just make totems all appear as dull to the survivors as a bandaid fix and call it a day? Then they'd have to actually see them not hear them as well, harder to see, and they'd spend more time break normal dulls not knowing if it was the right one.

It’s against an object, therefore it is not visible from all angels, therefore it is hidden.
Something like that, anyway.

Some of the totem spawns are just eyeroll inducing but it goes both ways. Some of them are absurdly well hidden on the edge of the map far from everything, covered in three directions and camouflaged. I dislike the dice roll factor of running any hex so simply don’t use them.
Hexes and Boons both need reworks of some kind to make them more interactive.

5 years ago I took a screenshot of my totem lit on top of the mounds in the fog...
Last week, I took a similar screenshot
6 years and totems still spawn like that

Yeah noticed it when I had someone repeatedly booning that the other day (I was the killer). Was in the he middle of a three gen as well. 😂 I did thank myself for not bringing hex perks though.

Makes it easier to find and snuff when it's a boon totem.

At least is in the middle of Haddonfield, you can check on it from almost everywhere and defend it accordingly, problem is when they are this exposed but in a corner, where you dont have enough view distance to actually check them.

Oh I love when the Hex totem Ruin spawns next to a gen gone in less then 30 seconds when I play as killer.

BHVR is straight up trolling us.

The difference is survivors get to pick where they place a Boon so they can choose not to use this totem.
1 -
You'd think that they'd choose not to but I've seen teammates go for these out in the open totems a bunch. I've also had teammates that are apparently running boons get mad because I cleansed the random out in the open totem instead of leaving it up for them to boon. 😂

Not as bad as the totem spawn in the middle of the map
Veterans will know what Im talking about :)

The reason i never run any hex perks, except i don't have anything on a new or fresh prestiged killer.
The few times i had to on my hag, for dailies, all 4 hex totems had been cleansed in 2 minutes on after another.

It would be the easiest and quickest blanket change to fix them now and going forward without having to mess with every map. Like you mentioned it would also now work as an actual extra objective for them.

This one I dont mind as much because when ppl are trying to break it, you can see them a mile away. I'm about 60/40 on getting to the surv with this totem. I dont know if the devs did it on purpose but its certainly easier to see

Funny enough, that does happen as well, lmao. I spawned close to one.

That feeling when you see a survivor spawn next to your hex with lethal pursuer and they start working on it immediately when you're across the map.
Feels bad man.

I had a survivor game where a totem spawned on that place (or onother car, and next to the next car was another totem...both were dull, yet...
also, i had 3 gens spawn on that map near the middle, with no los-breaker between them. ig you stood near one, you could clearly see the other ones, and nowhere to hide as survivor. That road is the road to hell.

What totem?
🤔

Bruh. Bad luck. 😂

Probably what the devs thought placing that

Increase base cleansing speeds of Hex totems to 20 seconds…. 14 seconds to cleanse a hex is too **** short. A chase is around 30 seconds. Plus there’s pick up, and hooking. Then walking BACK to the totem. That’s over a minute of time. A single survivor can cleanse 2-3 totems in the time it takes to down, and hook one survivor before the killer can check on it. On top of obvious spawn locations.
Something is VERY wrong with that. This would be mitigated easily if it took longer to cleanse hexes without wasting another perk slots to make cleansing take longer. Survivors have counter force now so there shouldn’t be a problem.

The reason why haddonfield has totems in the middle of the map is because there is no gens in the middle of the street not to mention that the road itself is like 20-25% of the entire map. The map may be better now than before the rework since its overall smaller, but its so warped that it its hard to place a totem away from gens. Main build basically has 2 gens in the same spot. Each corner has one gen and the other side of the road across from the main building has one.
So realistically the best way to hide totems on this map would be to place all of the totems in the buildings but majority of building have a gen inside it or around it.

But you can see the totem clearly from over half of the map.
I'd feel better if it was in a corner of some house instead. At least you could potentially walk past it when going to the gen then never notice its in the house.

Mean while Haunted ground spawn in the room that cant access
