Perkless and add-on less.
Late at night playing Nurse, I was pitted against a team that didn't look too strong.
So I decided to play without perks nor add-ons as a way to give me a handicap. I was also curious to see how much I did rely on my perks.
After that match I've started to do it more often.
If I'm going against a weak team, it gives them a strong chance to beat me.
If I'm going against a strong team (and get my ethereal ass kicked), I'm playing with a big handicap so it's not really frustrating. I always try to chase the best player though. And since I don't want to tunnel (as winning isn't my first priority) I take care to slug so I don't get rid of my best runner early.
There is something liberating in playing like this. I feel like I've improved a bit because of that too.
The experience has been good so I would suggest other to try it.

I agree. I like playing killer with only 2-3 perks from time to time like Doctor with BBQ, Lethal Pursuer and Zanshin Tactics. I also unequipped pretty much all gen defense. It doesn't help and I'm better of applying pressure by finding and downing survivors faster. Also it feels so much more achieving when you beat a full SWF with the best perks and strong items on a survivor sided map as Hillbilly without addons and only with BBQ and Shadowborn.

perkless and addon-less killer is actually very fun. You have to play super hardcore, and it's very satisfying to win.

Survivor propaganda

hey man, you get matched against enough baby survivors and you'll get bored and want to make the game harder.

I was joking but I understand what you mean. You can accomplish the same by not running any gen or healing slowdown perks. This alone will give them an edge and is an expression of skill. I also favor not using add ons as any blood points earned are pure profit.

I play a lot of my killers addonless, not because I think addons or busted or anything - I just like relying on the power at its base level and my mastery of it. I've been playing a lot of addonless Artist and she's still really good
Some killers suck without addons though

Oh yes. I can imagine. I don't think could win a difficult match with Billy.
Isn't it? :)
At first, yes. But even going against players in the high-thousands range is fun.
I remember there was a rule about points and what you bring in the game. I can't remember though.
Yes, I don't like using addons in general either, unless I'm doing an experiment.
I simply don't use the killers that suck too much without add-ons.

I only play without add ons and always use bbq, shadowborn and enduring on every killer. But I dont play weak killers obviously.

Can we just make shadowborn basekit already? Just kidding. But it is one of those weirdly addicting perks, isn't it?

Well yes, because playing on default FOV in this game makes me want to vomit after 4 minutes.
This game dont even have brightness settings, yet alone FOV slider so talking about qol is pointless

I like this idea! Not quite the same but when I pick up anew kille I play them without add one and their three unique perks until adept and/or feel like I understand their power.
However, I'm still learning a lot of the killers - I have almost 1000 hours but split between all killers but one and survivor so I feel like Im still in the learning stage for so many of them. So I still play with add ons and different combinations to really learn what they actually do! Once I'm at a level where I feel like I know, I might switch to a "handicap".
