freddy krueger sleep snare problems

Playing as freddy on the gideon map, I began to notice that I can’t set sleep snares as I need, on the 1st floor I can only set them strictly for myself or I can’t set them at all. On the 2nd floor, they are also displayed incorrectly, only when I pass a certain distance, a circle is displayed where I can put it, if there is no circle, I can only put it under myself.

Previously, I could stand still and put a snare of sleep anywhere within the range of placement on any map, but since April this problem has begun.

    Yup I just played on both these maps back to back and couldn't place snares in so many places half the time in Gideon Building and the Haddonfield houses. Plus I got stuck between a clock and the balcony railing on top floor of one of the new Haddonfield houses. Really felt awful to play as Freddy, wasting time to try to find where I CAN put a dream snare...

    The only place I could put a Snare in the Dead Dawg main building was at the tops of stairs. They just wouldn't appear anywhere else.

    Its bugged since 5.7.2 came out.

    Make sure to report it in the bug section of the forums, if it hasn’t been already. If it has, make sure to upvote it and maybe leave a comment saying that you’re having this as well.

    I ran into this as well. I couldn't place a snare in front of the god windows on Haddonfield. I didn't realize it was a bug. I just assumed it was an intentional design choice.

    Freddy needs a whole rework. I'll try to put his snares down and they won't show up but after I let go of the button to set them, they'll set, just not where I want them to and then I do it again and they'll show up and set where I want it but it's next to the one I just set so it get's all screwed up. I usually stick to the fake pallets but sometimes I'll just do snares, even though they don't do anything really. I wish they'd just make the pallets, maybe even gens and/or lockers fake too would be nice. Just ways to keep survivors on the edge. Even better, add a fake Freddy in the dream world walking around as an add-on? They can do so many things with this but overall, he needs a total rework.

    In my experience its just a graphics bug. They dont show up (mainly in buildings/some indoor maps), but theyre actually there. If a survivor runs through it, itll trigger. Down side is you just hafta get a feel for where youre placin em. Upside, it doesnt seem like survivors can see em either so it makes for some sneaky plays if you get used to it.
