Why does bhvr hate billy so much?
i seriously don’t understand why this killer has been ######### on so much in so many updates considering that the community absolutely adores him.
Probably the biggest mystery in the game for me is this.

Jokes aside, I have no idea. Billy is pretty much the abandoned child of DBD by now.

They probably count patch space billy again so they just neutered his air speed.

Space Billy was always being struck down . He just found another way to reach the stars.

Yeah the most recent bug patch is really just kicking a dead horse at this point, like he was only fun but incredibly weak.
but they proceed to reduce his fun factor even further, all we have is flicks now and once that’s gone well he would officially be deleted from existence.

I get patching spacebilly but they removed any mid air shenanigans he can do while other killers can still do it (Blight, Spirit) which really solidified the point for me that they just want to remove him from the game and not balance him.

No, the abandoned child is Trapper.
Hillbilly (and Deathslinger for that matter) would rather fall under the cathegory of Killers ruined by BHVR for no apparent reason.

Maybe hottake: Just put spacebilly into the basekit if you look all the way down while chainsawing a object. They said a flying character couldn't work. But i can imagine the fun of a space billy compilation. People always say "well he'd reach places not meant to be reached" alright...? The killer can't really hold a match hostage. I know on indoors it wouldn't really work but they can probably program accordingly. I know id love to play billy again. Its fun to fly and charge my saw and just speed snipe a survivor.
Mercy in overwatch actually has a space bug as well. Labeled as her "super jump" blizzard kept it in because they felt it gave a very easy character at least some skill cieling.

Without addons and the right map and tiles that little bit of fun is already pretty much gone.

Horrible mostly cause busted main building with god windows and weird short jungly gym tiles you can clearly see over.

It’s his worst map easily, the bushes have insane hitboxes that stretch out like 3 feet, can’t do ######### on that map.

Tbh this is sort of what I was thinking. Map seems quite large but there’s also a lot of crap cluttering it up so even his traversal speed won’t really be of use.

Almo said himself on stream if he could delete one killer it would have been billy, they want to sweep him under the rug and forget about him.
I bet if they could delete him from the game they would have but it would cause community uproar.

It sucks how much the stars have to align to have any fun with Billy. You need to get a very specific map with curve-able tiles, but those are fewer and fewer with every map release since they add random junk to the corner of everything now. You also need to hope that survivors are kind of throwing by not pre-dropping against a Billy. Plus he'll crash into any bush or random tree branch that has been in view of his camera any point in the trial.
