Dredge is a very balanced Killer TBH. Only played against him a few times but it was fun and actually scary at some points lmao.

Dredge is a balanced killer but he's just a BHVR classic with kinda lame counterplay requirements, aka the one and only W key.
Idk maybe my opinion will change over time...

Oh yeah, definitely, but that doesnt mean Dredge has a very unbalanced aspect. Here's a build that is already quite strong for Demogorgon, and Demogorgon has to place his own portals:
Territorial Imperative, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, Undying/Darkness Revealed.
It's more powerful than Bubba facecamping basement with Insidious and running NOED, because at least Bubba is limited to be inside the basement untill all gens are done. Dredge can basically do the same thing while chasing other survivors off the gens.

In the ptb didn't they make It so you can't teleport to hooked survivors?

Bubba has instadown dredge does not and he can't teleport back until survivor is saved from the hook.

Probably not going to happen. Except for his nightfall of course, which could be a bit much.
You'll just have to actually try and learn how to counterplay and win against Dredge, it's possible.

When The Artists sets out a bird, you have to avoid it because running into it will Swarm you, and she can fire it in a line at you and will do damage over those first 7.5 meters.
Dredge's Remnant just tells you if he teleports where he's going to pop back to, he moves slower while it's up, and if you manage to run into it, you'll disperse it.
You can absolutely mind game your way around a Dredge at a loop, especially if they place it out of line of sight at a T an L tile.
Even at smaller loops where you probably should just leave, you can still play around a bit to make him drop his remnant and start moving slower and try to mind game him into wasting a teleport to put his power on cooldown.

Yes but the range is quite small for the lockers that are blocked.
Depending on where you hook the nearest lockers might not even get blocked and with basement you can often still teleport to the lockers on the floor above.

That's a fair concern but in my experience his counterplay has actually been pretty fun. Chaining loops together for example can be more fun than just trying to loop a killer at a single loop, in my opinion, if you have to think about your routing, which in my opinion applies with Dredge. I think if you are right at a pallet, and the dredge puts a remnant on the other side of the pallet, there is a bit of a mindgame going on, having to predict whether Dredge will teleport or not, and drop the pallet on the right side.
Not to mention that chaining pallet loops and holding w is a good counterplay, but it's also not boring in my opinion, at least against good Dredges, because as a survivor you also have to be wary of lockers that Dredge can teleport to, resulting in mindgames as well. So the whole hold w strategy is not mindless in any way.

I still find this quite boring that you can't teleport near hooks, considering the fact that locker are not always near them, and they can be locked.
