Gotta love how every killer since Pinhead basically has no counter.

The Dredge is the worst offender. Survivor games for 2 days straight and can't escape once. Every match is a 4K. This game has gone to hell.

Survivor feels downright impossible.

I've played this since one year after launch and am so fed up with this god damn game catering infinitely to trash killers to the point that every match is now a 4k. But no, I'm not allowed to judge I guess. And im sure the replies will be so original like "bye then".

(Ok ok Sadako is excluded I'm sorry. All else still stands.)

If you think the dredge is tough now wait until people start unlocking all the perks on him. I haven't found the new killer hard to play against. I've in fact found the dredge very fun to play against. I even went into the matches blind just for the surprises. Your team is a big factor on the outcome of the match and I think right now people are in the phase of figuring out how to play against and as the new killer so things will change over time.

I think Sadako's seemingly endless lunge is what pissed me off about her. I just had a nice match against one who actually played well and didn't lunge spam like a spastic Dredge I met earlier today. So perhaps I was too harsh and she is actually just fine. My thoughts are not changed about others though.

(That was the only match I have escaped within the last 2 days... and only because I noped out after the last gen finished.)

I like to think I'm a moderate skill survivor player considering I have many cases of being able to run killers around the map for literal minutes straight. Sometimes I potato out, other times I question the killer's attempts, and then sometimes I wonder why it's been 3 minutes and nobody can pop a gen when I'm being chased.

Because a killer who is basically a mix of 3 other killers is so garbage. Maybe learn how to play killer then instead of moaning every one of them are bad.

At no point did I say they were all overpowered lmao it's even in the title.

bold of you to assume my skill... i got the adept in my 2nd match with him (the 1st one was still a 4k but i didn't had enough time to care about my emblems), you're just salty cause you don't want hear the truth... this killer is a living joke, period. the only good thing that he has is mobility thanks to his teleport but:

1 if not in nightfall he's extremely slow

2 you can easily lock the lockers (more wasted time for him)

    3 he's a pure m1 killer, nuff said

    Tostapane Member Posts: 1,654

also this... remember op, just because a killer 4k doesn't mean that the used killer is op and needs nerfs... it's like saying that legion is too much strong cause i did all 4k until now with him... you aren't taking into the equation a small but crucial detail: the survivor's skill. aganist people who know how to play REALLY FEW killers are somewhat viable

    1. That's an outright lie. Nightfall doesn't affect his speed.

    2. Yippee! 1 second saved and it cant be locked ever again!

    3. By this logic, nurse is an m1 killer.

You even made it clearer how easy of a killer he is to get a 4K with by flexing the adept achievement on match 2. Do you not see how this makes no sense?

Sadako OP I guess. I also love the statement of the game "catering to bad killers" when the survivor meta hasnt been touched and allowed to stay that strong for YEARS.

Also despite popular belief.... dredge isnt that strong when hes still a hold W to win killer. Doesn't matter that he has antiloop and map mobility when whenever he does his anitloop you can just easily leave the loop.

Numerous meta survivor perks have been nerfed or altered in an unfavorable way. Survivors' strength has only slightly decreased. Killers are just being buffed into godhood over the years.

Dredge is far from trash, he's just more map-dependant than other Killers. His teleport, ESPECIALLY in Nightfall, is insanely good once you get a feel for what lockers are where and the most efficient chain to check the map

    1. It literally does, Nightfall causes the teleport speed to go from 12 m/s to 38 m/s, along with cutting the cooldown from 12 seconds to 4. This DRASTICALLY increases his mobility, nearly to the point of him being everywhere at once
    2. It takes Dredge roughly 3(?) seconds to exit a locked locker, this can very easily mean the difference between reaching a pallet or loop and getting a hit, and frequently has in my matches as him
    3. This point is mostly accurate ngl, Dredge has solid antiloop that keeps him from being pure m1

Sadako is garbage. Artist I would agree that she really doesn’t have a counter. She puts you in a lot of lose lose situations. Pinhead I find very fun to go against although solo que teams can be horrendous. I haven’t played vs the dredge yet

  • Tostapane
    Tostapane Member Posts: 1,654

1 it does, he will travel faster into lockers during nightfall (i wasn't talking about his normal movement speed while walking)

2 it's like a pallet stun, you'll have enough time to flee away from that zone even before he will come out from that locker and even without the locker blocked you can still see him before his arrival thanks to the mist that will surround that locker

3 well yes, but actually no: nurse use her power to both travel and chase, dredge can only travel from one place to another (unlike nurse he can't hit right after using his m2) and while holding his power he's slower than a survivor, meaning that's sufficient holding w shift while you see him using his power (simplest counter in the game i might add)

4 again, if i 4k with a killer doesn't mean that the used killer is op or strong, it means that i was aganist mediocre (aka really bad) survivors...

Thanks for being reasonable. I hadn't figured they were talking about teleport speed and meant the walking speed. Yes, I know I exaggerated the locker breaking speed, it seems more like 2.5 ish seconds after watching footage.

Ahh yes, let's see the main survivor meta is Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time, and Deadhard.

So yeah Decisive Strike nerfed, but still as strong as before, just people can't call out tunneling when tunneling wasn't even a factor, people still use it a lot because it still works the same as before.

Unbreakable looks like it was nerfed, but get this the nerf is with the Freddy rework unbreakable no longer wakes up sleeping survivors from the dream world, oh the humanity. That's literally it besides a percentage buff lol, Freddy OP I suppose.

Borrowed Time, is such a shame it seems like it was both nerfed and buffed the buff was they removed the terror radius condition so undetectable killers can't just sit there and camp the hooked person and bt wouldn't work against them, but the duration was changed from 15 to 12 seconds so survivors couldn't just use it as a body blocking tool against killers who didn't even wanna go for them.

Dead Hard, is the most nerfed perk of all, oh wait it was buffed multiple times with the latest being hit validation...

Secondary meta perks sprint burst not nerfed, iron will buffed, kindred buffed, spine chill buffed.

So please tell me again how horrible survivors have been treated.

artist worst enemies are lockers (when she swarm you with her crows from afar) and w shift (in chases when she start to place crows, just run in another loop, due to her slow speed after placing a crow you'll get easily in another loop)... she has counters

  • KillerKiryu47
    KillerKiryu47 Member Posts: 41

If you're considering fixing the game like with that dead hard example "buffs", you're hopeless. And oh boohoo, decisive still actually does something and isn't a cosmetic perk. You're also complaining that borrowed time was fixed and now properly serves its purpose, to counter campers.

    Goalmove more.

Hit validation is not a buff lmao. That's a fundamental game mechanic. Cope seethe and mald, because you're not worth the time.

Respectfully, it means a lot to me because I am not the kind of killer that reasonable gets 4k's often or ever. It's a sign to me where the killer himself is balanced to be at, and not indicative of my skill. If I were on any other killer I would not have a 4k to show off. You are right though, something I didn't consider is my MMR Would be lower on a new killer by default. I know it'll be a matter of time before I get my teeth kicked in.

There is even a pitch black room, where i only noticed a Chest, because of the promt to open it. It has so many windows + pallets. Its basically the new house of pain but 10 times worse.

I rember distinclty this little girl from the well. I can see how she has "basically no counter".

In all seriousness, you will lose every single game, if you give up from the start. The only solution for that is to learn what makes these killers strong individually and where their weaknesses are so that you will see how they actually work, not to mention don't give up. If it is so easy to get consistent wins with these killers why don't you go ahead, pick one of them and show us a nice little win streak?

I do think he's a bit overtuned. There's basically no downtime in his ability to cross the whole map, and his locker perk and at least one of his add ons are basically global aura reading on everyone.

I like the design, but he needs at least SOME window of "ok he's crossed the map six times now, I can at least have 20 seconds of peace."

One of them wemt sabo. I think we k

now that at least one teamamte is doing sweet fa.

Its almost like there was a drop off of unequal number of players for one side. I dont know about you but i stopped playing killer in dbd due to mmr, dead hard changes and coh dropped. Coh seriously fked up half of the rooster and the nerfs came to slow or at the very least had to few safety valves.

Since i hopped back on I engage less with using lower tier killers because they simply don't match the power level of the rest of the rotation of killers i play and aged like milk. Back in rainbow ranks matchmaking pre mmr a killer player could always have a chance of playing against a weak or strong team. There was no certainity that locking in myers would lose you the next 5 games.

You're on low to average MMR, different skill rating. Meanwhile i get to play with sweatlords.

    Funny take.

I played a ton of matches against the Dredge and I am not a good survivor. I am maybe average when it comes to chases and a bit better when it comes to game knowledge. I often hide and take little risk as I know I get downed very quickly. I also often use pretty off meta builds while doing so because I like my survivors themed. I mostly play duo que with one friend.

So fare Dredge is pretty sweet but nothing special from the power viewpoint. He has his moments and gets pretty good during nightfall a mechanic I as a survivor enjoy a lot. However I did not feel that he was as oppressive as you made him here. Most matches were 2 kill, 2 escapes; some were 4 escapes, some were 4 deaths, mostly because of tunneling, camping or a bunch of regression perks stacked.

Dredge is fine. He does not suffer from no mobility, he has a clear counterplay.

Maybe you should adapt your way of playing against him a bit. He is not Trapper or Wraith, you can hear him and you can destroy his remnant. Also once he "teleports" you can leave the loop and run to the next one, forcing him to play "normal M1 killer".

I also played some matches as the Dredge. Survivors come up with tactics quit fast and learn to evade locker dense areas. Also locking the lockers is quit nasty.

Overall I like this killer. He is fun to face and not a joke like, say, Pig.

I always give new killers a few months to get used to them, so I'm reserving judgement. I will say that the difficulty I'm having is in having to just *think* too much at one time in a chase. Like trying to mindgame, and trying to keep an awareness of lockers in my general area so he doesn't cut me off, and trying to pay attention to his remnant and trying to find the next best place to run. And I know my team mates are in the same position because it feels like by halfway through the game every single pallet is gone lol. Add Nightfall, and some killers using perks like sloppy to help bring it along more often, and it's definitely tough.

I'm hopeful though that in a few months I'll be able to pick up on certain tells that will help me predict his next move. Might have to dust off the old Spine Chill for a time.

Every Killer base-kit is counterable tho? And only 4 are too much with certain Add-Ons (Nurse, Myers, Spirit, Blight), none of which being older than Pinhead
