Why?!
I have a question!
Sometime teammate's dc.
So the question is,why punish the WHOLE team if they lose(i'm not only talking about 1 dc...)Why isn't there a system that you dosen't lose a pip when someone dc's ??? It is so annoying .-.

Because that'd incentivize DCing.
By taking one part of the consequences away, they might get the impression that its entirely okay to DC then, which basicly confirms their bias towards this topic.
Its better to punish them instead.8 -

I agree that, just like how killers get points when somebody disconnects, survivors should be given points too that would equal 1 safe unhook or something.

So this wont be exploited right? Wrong a team that knows its going to lose can have one player dc to give the rest enough points to safety or pip. We shouldnt award people for dcing we should punish dcer with soft bans. 5 minute waiting time if you dc. This increases to a 10 minute waiting time if you dc again on that day and it doubles until a survivour goes 24 hours without dcing in dbd.
It's not awarding people for DCing, lol. You just give the other survivors somewhat a chance to atleast save pip so that they don't get screwed by the fact that somebody had to disconnect. It's unfair to punish somebody who hasn't done anything wrong. And no, this can not be exploited. There could be added a limit so whether 1 person disconnects or 3, the amount of points is the same. But atleast survivors will have something MINOR that can help them out getting a save pip.

You dont get assitance for someone screwing you. Instead you punish the players who made is dcing. Currently survivours dcing is making games boring and dull. Behaviour needs to punish these survivours with short term consequnces. I dotn care about pipping or points when a survivour dcs what I care about is playing a game where all sides are contributing putting their best foot forward.
If there are survivours dcing then the game should not be focused on rewarding survivoirs who are affected by the dc. Instead the problem should be dealt with at its source.

Something needs to be done about the survivor(s) left after a disconnect. I'm tired of being the only survivor left after the other three disconnect at the start of a match. What am I actually supposed to do in that situation? Usually, it leads to the killer sacrificing me and I end with almost no BP and a de-pip, plus losing out on any offerings and/or items I brought. Would it be better for me to just disconnect, too?
I'm seriously asking: what is the one survivor left after the other three disconnect supposed to do? I dunno about other people, but this situation happens to me a lot on the PS4, and it is extremely frustrating.

So let me put a scenario forward so you understand how it can be abused. If my teams is doing badly and someones gonna die and depip anyways I can tell my swf friend to dc so we all get an improved chance at pipping and recieve points.

Yeah but that ''friend'' could only do it a limited amount of times before they get a ban. People usually DC because they get tunneled, camped, missed their DS or got found really early on in the game. And for those situations I think it would not be unfair at all to give the remaining survivors some altruism points, and how many it would be is debatable.

People who DC are often quite selfish and couldn't care less what the team wants or how the team does. It'd be better to give wait times in between each DCs and punish people who DC a lot like that. It could be less of a go to if they actually saw an immediate punishment for their actions.

That being said I really wish there was an "opt out of match" option if someone DCs at the start of the game. It really sucks when you have 5 gens to do and someone's internet cuts out.

There are a small group of really dope killers out there who recognize that when a survivor has DCed, they have an unfair advantage over the game and they farm with you. They are the real heroes of this game.0

When a Survivor runs up to you on the hook, tea-baggs while their Killer friend clearly on discord with them watches and does their equivalent of Killer tea-bagging (the head shake) in some sad 4th wall breaking sociopathic reciprocal episode there's not much more to do than disconnect rather than give them what they want.
Of cause behaviour won't do anything about this kind of activity so whats there left to do but to dc.

Sometimes the DC isn't on purpose. But we're mainly focusing on the purpose ones. I do agree there should be a DC system like most games do. Most games make it so when you DC once, you get a warning. Some games if you DC twice you get a time penalty or lose something else. Majority of games, if you DC three times your out. That means a longer time penalty, lose more points, exp, etc and/or become banned for a few days.
In this case it should be a time penalty.
The problem with de-piping when you DC, is it gives high survivors/killers a way to de-rank and face easy killers/survivors. If they gave a time penalty, that would make more sense. Otherwise people can DC all they want.
