Does anyone hate playing vs Myers?

The past few Myers that I have faced been playing like this for a while. Tombstone and then camp. Lmao. I used to like playing against him but now it’s just gotten boring tbh. Would rather go up against a blight at this point

Scratched mirror myers is extremely boring to play against because it's never chases the only interesting part of survivor

Myers has kind of a boring power and there's no worse feeling than when he gets 99% from someone else and then unloads on you. Literally getting punished for something out of your control.

Though, not like he's OP or anything (except for tombstone) just kind of vanilla and boring.

What are you on about? scratch mirror is incredible to play against. You listen out for his footsteps and breathing. Even if he's close he still has a hard time catching you unless he outmanuvers your attempt to make progress. Theres so much space to explore beyond just chases with survivor. Resource management, key items like the lament configuration massively breathes new life into dbd.

Im getting sick of the same killer tripe of chase centric powers. I'd rather see a break from the traditional pallets and vaults gameplay see more myers like gameplay.

I wouldn't say that I hate playing against him. I just don't like it

Actually yes I hate him. Every time I see him it's either infinite T3 which he gets at 4-5 gens left because everyone feeds him and nobody does gens.

Or, far more commonly, it's Tombstone and the others feed him to 99%, then 10 seconds after I see the killer for the first time in the match, once he's right behind me he pops T3 and I'm instantly removed from the game with 1000-2000 points or so. Tremendous fun. Great gaming experience.

My "preventive counterplay" when I see a Myers is "genrush and get tf out" until it's proven he doesn't have one of his iris - which is what most killers hate and I find that boring even as survivor, but on the other hands, many defend these add-ons as the "excellently designed add ons, every killer should have something like that to be scary".

I don’t get many Myers and when I do it turns out to actually be a fun match, they rarely camp or tunnel.

I only dislike it when he is runnign tombstone/piece and my team feeds him stalk and then he kills me. .-.

Tombstone addons are disgusting, I wish they got rid of them and this coming from a Myers main.

maybe the first 2 games you play against it

After that its any other stealth killer

I like playing against him as long as he doesn't bring Tombstone Piece or the Infinite Tier 3 addon. I've went against enough of those already.

    Not hate no.

I like Myers - the Myers i face are usually pretty strong.

If he kills all - or camp and tunnel - you usually hate every killer...

YES. I complain to my friends daily about him being my least favorite killer to go against (they usually get irritated with how much I dislike him). They always pop tier 3 in ur face, has busted add ons, and they usually camp with exposed. Earlier, this mf had tombstone, and I wouldn't let him mori me (I'm not giving this flop killer something he didn't have to earn) he bled me on the floor and now dbd is uninstalled. I will come back when AOT skins arrive

He is one of the most fun to go against imo

it's busted... People say that it's the survivors faults, but he just gets it by looking at them like???? Well earned, free kill.

Yeah but not when it’s a 3v1 at 5 gens with tombstone. That’s pretty lame if you ask me lmao

    Only tombstone piece

Mainly because it's an insidious addon

At least Infinite Tombstone/T3 its pretty obvious that he has it because he doesn't injure anyone and just spends the whole game stalking. Tombstone piece barely increases the time to reach t3 especially if they don't use it right away

Tombstone is annoying tbh and honestly I'm not a big fan in solo because of clicky clicky tbag Nea giving him his 99'd EW3 and I'm then the one to suffer, basically giving me 0 chase constantly while they get to farm away and feed him.

Hell no. Mikey is one of the most fun killers to both verse and play as for me. He's my main. Love him.

I understand he’s not strong and I hope they buff him but damn those two tombstone addons are so boring and problematic

Is it just me or am I the only one who dislikes iridescent addons in general? Like for any killer or survivor. Hell even addons that basically can't be used every game I'm iffy on and reluctant to use. I mean sure they aren't easy to come by and you can't use them every game but the mere concept of 'an obscenely overpowered boost that can be used very rarely' just seems really off. If the concept were to be introduced into most games it'd be laughed at. I get the game is not meant to be competitive or whatever and I certainly don't take it as such because the design direction clearly doesn't support it but still...

Myers addons are of course the easiest thing to make a valid argument over this particular issue but it's not limited to him.

At least you can move on to the next one pretty quick. No hooks, no slugs.

I lift you up, give you a present and you are good to go against facecamping bubba in the next one.

Something I wish more people would understand is that strength and fun are not mutually exclusive.

Yeah I agree. Some people say that tombstone makes it actually feel scary like an actual horror game but it’s just annoying and boring

  • Laluzi

If it's tombstone Myers, the game sucks (either someone gets yeeted out at the start with Piece, or it's a relatively uninteractive game where nobody gets points with Judith's.) Otherwise, I think Myers is really fun to verse, especially when it's an indoor map with Scratched Mirror. He does need serious buffs, though; his early game is way too slow and he's been power-crept by a lot of other killers at this point.

I do hate playing against him, its not fun at all, no power to juke, nothing interesting in chase, just an m1 killer with haunted grounds, literally makes me sleep faster than freddy which on itself is kinda boring too.

  • lav3
    lav3 Member Posts: 775

    No.

Sometimes Tombstone feels overpowered but good survivors will notice easily and run into locker.

Or stay calm and repair generator.

He might be annoying but I am fine versing him.

He’s the reason I bought the game in the first place and still my fav killer to play and face.

I don't know, I feel like survivor can be interesting and fun outside of chases if the gameplay is still interesting, and there is interaction between killer and survivor.

Which I feel is why some people enjoy going against Scratched mirror myers. But I can see why some find it unfun.

I played against scratch mirror Myers on Ormand it was so easy lmao

Yeah I sadly find him really boring to go against. I think him just being able to one hit down you, is really just lame, with the fact another survivor could be the reason you're getting one hit downed. I will say, he is a cool character and scary to go against. Just the actual gameplay of him is super lame and not interactive or fun. Really hope they rework that poor character.

Funny you say that. I just played against one. You want to know what happened? A Meg brings him right to me 99ed tier 3 and I get downed Immediately because the gen is in a dead zone.😒

I have theory for this. Myers as a killer tends to have little ways of clawing back a game when behind. His mobility being crap, his abillity being so resource intensive i often find myers players resorting to desperate measures. Slugging, camping tunneling etc. A blight player can get to the gen across mount ormund myers cannot.

Myers loses to sheer distance and lengthy cd on his power. If he bringing the powerful addons jes scary but very mamageable as playing ludicrously safe will force him into lunging denying tombstone or in the case of infimite tiers 3 its just an m1 killer with instadowns whem you stop and think about it he's just a worse plague.

I wish they straoght buffed him because even with his powerful add ons he is just a joke. Myers having tombstone be a part of his basekit with certain conditions would be a great way to breathe new life into his rather dusty old kit.

Why not do something exciting? Dpnt you wish behaviour took a chance with adding things like dusters and caltrops to the list of items in survivors pool. Its kinda stramge that a lot of what put dbd on the map. Its busted items, addons and perks are toned back instead of building on that powerlevel pr the very least adding fundamentally new exciting mechanics.

I dont get how everyone wants to maintain the same status quo gameplay surely people want big changes to shake things up.

They did his name is ghostface still has major problems mostly because they gave the dishwasher "counterplay" which is so obnoxious (espicially against swf squads). Whilst i can see your point that its annoying dbd is a 1 v 4 game. If someone on your team screws over the entire team thats on them. Killers being designed to be hard coumtered by mechanics that get significantly worse once you add team cooperation is hardly fair.

All im saying is expect ghostface (most other stealth killer players to hemorage its playerbase once genuine pings and communicatiom is inevitably added into dbd. Or you know just pull a slinger and nerf his strong add ons so no one plays him.
