Why Do I Still Play This Game?!!?

I used to enjoy this game but, now it is legit a chore to play. It is still lopsided and getting very boring with each match. I truly am ready to move on and I have a lot of time and money invested. I invested hoping for it to get better and held out this long but I truly think I am officially done with this game.

I still find the game fun but certainly less so than when before MMR was introduced

I mean I heard they are nerfing the meta on both sides and maybe then the matches will be more fun. But its more the map design. Take the new map for example. The main building has an essential infinite in it. If two windows spawn in specific rooms the killer is not catching you unless they are nurse. Its boring.

Tell me about it. The last THREE games in a row I got left on my 1st hook to die with no one even TRYING to unhook (and I was running Kindred...)

^ This is the problem and I'll explain why I think it's worse since they removed "rank" and added "grades."

For me, as a solo Q survivor, rank meant something. It was sometimes hard to get a pip in red ranks, so even if the match started bad because someone DCed or if I got found and downed first, I still tried to at least NOT depip. I gave an effort because earning back that pip was going to be hard.

Now, with "grades" a depip is completely irrelevant. Who cares about depips now? No one. At the end of month so what that I don't get a few extra blood points.

There is simply no reason for people to stay in matches that aren't going well.

I think BHVR overstated how important blood points are. For many of us, like myself, I always have tons of blood points.

I really REALLY hope BHVR reads this and reports it to the higher ups, because I know for a FACT that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Sounds more like you need to take a break from this game.

    Take a long break.

The funny thing about it is you don’t lose what you’ve invested in it by walking away for a while.

It’s not all or nothing, I hit up about 2-3 games a week at most these days.

I'm mostly replaying oblivion for the fun of it lately.

I’ll probably get the DBD bug again as we get closer to Halloween and I start running through the roster of classic horror films in my collection.

I have taken month long breaks quite often from this game. Not even because I was frustrated, although the game definitely can get very frustrating sometimes, on both sides, but at some point it's maybe just too much of the same. Then I need to switch it up with other games.
