Dredge and pallets during nightfall
I believe I understand why Survivors are so pissed with the new Killer.
They are used to run in loops from pallet to pallet without having to think or have map awareness, now with Nightfall they do have to think even if a bit.
In solo queue: It is not longer press M1 on a gen or do some totem if you find one lit 2cm from you in.
In SWF and discord: it is no longer that easy to coordinate during these 60s plus you are prone to make more mistakes, you cannot body block comfortably, etc.
There is one perk that counters most of Dredge which is Window of Opportunity but of course that means giving a slot that could be used by dunno... Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, Sprint Burst, Unbreakable or Iron Will.
That´s really it. If Survivors could treat the Killer like a toy during loops there would be zero complaints.

Info perks are better then the meta

Survivors don't like not having basekit counters to killers. This has been going on since 2016 when they nerfed crows because spies from the shadows was deemed "op" even though survivors could equip calm spirit to counter it.
They made it so crouching would not scare the crows, reduced crow numbers and made it harder to scare them... 4 years later they gave sfts a cooldown thanks to even more complaints.
Counterplay for me but not for thee as they say.

That is why SWF is so strong, as a matter of fact.

I mean yeah from how easy it is to remember tile layouts people that complain about nightfall being too dark are just lazy in my book.

I think they gave the cooldown to spies because killers were annoyed by getting machine gun fired with crow notifications on certain maps and the game for example had like 5 crows in total and now works fine with spies. Not the best example you put there

Survivors don't have complete control over the Killer and that makes them pissy.
The Killer actually has competent tools and now they can't crouch spam every pallet they pre-drop the entire match.

Never saw a complaint from a killer that it gave too much information. The best part was that it showed the direction the survivor was moving, now you get one ping and then silence.

if you have 10 crows fly up within 5 seconds and your screen is spammed with bubbles that block LOS, then this is something that killers indeed have complained about. That's why there is a cooldown of insanely long 5 seconds. This is not a nerf.
And if you look at the change log, there are literally only QOL changes and buffs. and even the one nerf listed is a buff: lowering the range from max 48m to 36m. And if you know why Whispers lowers the activation range with each tier up, then you know why this is a buff.
Btw There was never a direction linked to this perk, only locations

I used to have Spies in my builds. In Hawkins this was insufferable.

I thought it was great on hawkins :S
Different things annoy different people i guess. Doesn't change the fact they nerfed it because survivors refused to run calm spirit.

That doesn't sound like a good idea at all.
I've not used Spies for a while though. I don't know how useful it is at the moment.

I use Whispers´´´ in most of my builds, tried SFTS once and it´s terrible to be honest, garbage tier perk.

Maybe I'll try it tonight if I play.
(Although we are the 13th so it may be a very bad day to play.)

I just luuuuv Spies from the Shadows and think that it's such an underrated perk. Yeah, with experience you know how to read flying crows and stuff, and now, nearing the 1000h mark, I can sometimes spot crows far away, that I would have deemed impossiburu when I started, but still, SFTS is just ao good. I can't count how often I had lost a survivor, looked a bit for them and finally moved away... only for a crow to trigger in my back and rat the survivor out. Awwwe, my luvely crows :>
