I don't know what is going on at bhvr or who or how you playtest anything, but it needs a serious overhaul. Blight doesn't even work on that map.

The main building is literally house of pain 2.0. How the devs haven’t figured out map design in 6 years confuses me

It isn't just that. The map basically counters every killer.
Most loops are safe, almost all loops are over range height where even trickster can't do anything, there is so much junk that you rarely have los on a survivor and its huge.

They did figure it out, remember that big map patch they did after ruin got nerfed? Knocked down the size of big maps like temple and thompson house, reduced (somewhat) instances of having strong tiles all spawn in a row, fixed a load of god windows...
They explained the issues and fixes perfectly. Whatever their current philosophy on map design is, it's deliberate. As to what kind of purpose it's supposed to serve, I haven't got a ######### clue.

Yeah, that's really weird. They fixed the god windows on many maps, but now every new map has a similarly strong window to those. The office window at RPD, the windows on new Haddonfield's houses, and now at the house in the Garden of Joy. I'm not even going to start about the safe pallets at post-rework The Game and Cowshed, those are ridiculous. I don't get why they still do it like this.

Blight works perfectly fine on that map. Also the map is perfect to play on as survivor and killer.

New Haddonfield is the best map in a while.

Blight and nurse also do great on meat plant, success with them isn't a good indicator of balance overall

My only problem with it is that the corner of the map adjacent to shack across the road has like 5 pallets spawn within 10 feet of each other

I would rather run House of Pain than Garden of Joy's main building. At least I can get Bloodlust in there, and survivors don't have several different god windows to pick from.
