2 killer chapter
Would people be against a chapter that introduced 2 new killers and only 1 survivor?

I understand that's a joke. I understand that it's funny. However, we both know that is not what I meant. Lol

I just don't trust the Quality Assurance of BHVR to drop a chapter with two killers

The Art would be great, though.

Yeah, maybe that would lead to some problems.

Probably, but killers overshadow other killers from other chapters all the time. Wouldn't be much of a difference if they wre in the same chapter.

Quite frankly, I don’t think they can handle that. Keep in mind that the killers are effectively the new gameplay every chapter, bringing new interactions, animations, models, the whole shebang.
Doubling that workload for a game that’s already very bug-prone and we got a guaranteed mess on our hands.

As long as that chapter heralds the introduction of two killer mode

It’d be awesome from a fan perspective but agree that it’s probably too much to reasonably be accomplished. The killers they do release are in design for potentially years and it takes a lot to get one right.

That's true. Also, I guess it would be difficult to conceptualize a chapter where you have two unique killers, but also share a theme in mind. Unless they are contrasting themes, it'll be difficult. The advantage previous chapters that had two survivors was that they had multiple characters to pull from being licenced. If BHVR ever did a 2 killer chapter, it would most likely be original.

Legion.

Just ignore every second chapter release and you get the same effect. :D

God, that update would be so buggy

Technically true, but...again...you know what I mean. XD
Two unique killers, with two unique powers.

yeah I know just doing the thing

Something similar happend back in 2017. Where Leatherface and Freddy released both within a month.
Leatherfaces addons felt rushed, because most were a copy of Billy´s and Freddy was nerfed 1 week after release...

I was honestly hoping for something like that this anniversary or last one but I'm honestly content with the chapter they released. Aside from the map I genuinely felt last update was really good.
My issue with the map is how many windows are in the house and also the roots on the ground look like scratchmarks at times.

Sounds great! Add Psycho Mantis and Man on Fire as killers and Solid Snake as survivor, tyvm! ❤️

Two killers, both half the quality
- Love, BHVR xoxo

Logistically this would probably be a nightmare to produce. Design, Animation, Programming, Art as well as all the other departments involved would be extremely pushed to find the bandwidth to complete two major killers in one chapter over a consistent period. There is a huge amount of work that goes into producing a chapter and as you know, these are planned and development starts months and months ahead.
It also has the downside of one killer overshadowing the other, either due to power or to aesthetics - I think I would prefer that each killer our teams produce has their own time in the spotlight.

Maybe yin yan killer

I’d much rather each killer have a chapter to itself and have that killer be well polished and well designed than have 2 killers in the same chapter where certain aspects of both likely get rushed to get them both done in time. Not to mention one killer would very likely overshadow the other.

Realistically I think this would only happen with the announcement of a 2v8 gamemode. 2 New killers with synergy to showcase the new gamemode would make sense. However no sign of that anytime soon unfortunately, maybe in a few years when DBD needs something big to stay relevant.

A 2v8 gamemode requires it's own balancing and imo the currently available killers would all be locked off from that mode.
Pinhead's Chain Hunt would make RBT's and the boxes be impossible to work with since every interrupt resets your progress.
Trapper's stuck in own trap thing would be removed since none of the killers have that animation made for them.

2 killers, not 4. 🙃

That's a fair assessment. Though, it not as if I would want 2 killers in every chapter from then on out. Just one chapter, maybe another one several year later. However, I do understand the pressures of keeping to a schedule and deadlines, so it's not as if I think it's a possibility that'll happen next chapter or even several chapters down the line. It's just my "what if" scenario and I think sharing that idea is fun.

Please NO. One killer usually breaks the game one way or another. Imagine the amount of bugs two unique killer powers would cause. See, it isn’t as simple as just adding a new mechanic and calling it a day, spaghetti code doesn’t work like that.
Trust me it’s in your best interest not to have two killers released at the same time.
