Masquerade tome (is that it?)
I was really looking forward to this event and all level 1 has are things for Haddie and Dredge? Please tell me that there are more costumes, etc. because that seems a bit... lame. When it was only Mikaela during the Grove event, it made sense because she is a witch and it was around Halloween. I'm hoping that more variety is added to the Masquerade event.

They announced it in the anniversary stream. There will be 3 new anniversary charms, 1 full cosmetic for Haddie, and 1 cosmetic for Dredge in the event tome. On top of that, we're getting 12 personalized masquerade masks for killers/survivors. I'm not sure what else you want, but to me that seems like a lot of work and free stuff they're giving out.

It makes sense that the outfits would be for the newest characters, wouldn't it? And I love it, because if gives you the opportunity to gain some alternative outfits for characters that just entered the scene, whats not to love? Most people have more outfits for David or Meg or Dwight then they can play games a night.

Relevance was my point. A masquerade is supposed to be mysterious and fun. Did you read my comment about Mikaela and the Grove event? A more interesting costume would have been if they gave Haddie a Rogue (X-Men) costume. And who cares if the stuff is free?

Where is the event tome? I've clicked on everything, including the new button that pops up, but it just says something about for more info go online. I'm confused

I mean, they did give both the Dredge and Haddie full costumes that are masquerade themed. If you are underwhelmed by them, then that is a fair opinion for you to have, but considering they're free cosmetics that allow everyone to get it (independent if people have the money for it) I think they look pretty cool.
After reading the link that Mandy posted, I'm actually even more impressed by the sheer amount of things they have for this event. A lot of free log in bonuses, lots of cosmetics altogether, and a lot of small visual details making things festive.

I think some people misunderstood my original comment... I am genuinely curious and not trying to be negative. And I stand by my comment about Haddie getting a Rogue costume (X-Men). I was just expecting a bit more for other characters aside from masks due to the nature of the event.

From how i understood it, in the video they did recently on the anniversary event, they wanted to do higher quality customized items (the masks) rather than more bland and generic stuff. There is only so much development time available and as a result, instead of everyone getting something meh, a select group get cooler stuff. Next event it will be a different group.

You do realize that they can't just make a cosmetic inspired by a different franchise without getting that franchise's permission?
I think the reason why they didn't do more full set cosmetics inspired by the event is because they already have release schedules for other cosmetics. They probably just don't have enough time to make more cosmetics for characters because all of this stuff is planned way ahead of time. It would have been cool to have some more full sets available for purchase in the store, but considering how much work it prob took them to make the content they're giving us, makes sense why there isn't "more."

Dredge and Haddie both get a full cosmetic set that is unlocked through the tome.
Then there are the invitations, which you have to collect during trials. They unlock a unique mask for certain survivors and killers.

That's understandable and I figured that might be the case. My matchmaking has been really awful today so I only got one invitation and in my last match (Springwood) no invitations spawned.

Yeah that's a shame, from what I've heard so far, it's been difficult finding the podium for a lot of people. I could imagine a map with that many buildings it being difficult to navigate the whole map without throwing the game. Good luck with your future matches. I'm sure you'll get them all before the event ends!

I think getting some masquerade themed clothing would have been fun. Fancy gowns and suits and that stuff. Especially if it was really odd or mismatched. Still flan is good :D.
