Remember to let loose a bit for the event.
Many players are coming back for this. And the last thing they want to see is hyper sweat. I've been running stealth builds on killers and doing some of the community challenges. Playing but never killing anyone. And many people have been thankful for this. I don't dare to play any survivor during this event because I know these events bring out those types. I've already been told by a few people that it's been pretty obnoxious and the event has only been out for like 2 hours.
Just try something different. Mix things up. Be nice and have fun. Will some survivors be #########? Of course. The same can be said for killers also though. The best thing to do against BM is to play along with it and not give a negative reaction. Nod, spin in circles, creep out from walls, moonwalk, basically anything playful. Then give them a big "gg <3" at the end. Whether you win or lose. Anybody bm'ing you just wants a reaction. And denying that to them is the best thing you can do. If they insist on being an ass just leave the end game chat and don't say anything. This is the biggest blow you can really serve to them.
Have fun everyone! Here's to year 7!

I agreee with this message.

I'm always trying to be nice, even outside of event. But especially during an event. The only one match I've played as a Killer, I've been guiding Survivors to the invitation. I wanted to be sure everyone had one. (Then I stopped to play Killer because it gives me anxiety and I'd prefer to play in a normal way still...).

I've been trying...but holy crap are there some sweaty SWFs today, which make it a bit difficult to ease up - as if I'm not running my best stuff on my best killers, I'm getting cooked, served and teabagged to boot.

I wish people were just playing. I know, tbagging is also a way to provoke for your opponent to be angry and doing mistake. But it's not like at the end of the match, there is a real price to get...
People need to chill. I don't mind them doing their best, I'm as well trying my best, but can't we respect the other players in the same time? T_T

Totally here for having fun during the event! It's a big vibe to just have fun and chill in my favorite game!

Dude, I agree. XD It's an event, just chill out. We can have a fun time.

Like I said these people just want to provoke you. It may be tilting but learning to laugh with them is probably one of the best skills a killer can learn in this game. They don't really care too much and probably aren't thinking super deep about it all. It's just a goof for them. So recognizing it as that goes a long way for your enjoyment of this game.

Of all the useful skills that can be acquired in this game, the ability to identify with a team of bullies is not one of them.

Why shouldn't people play however they want?

If you want to mald for the rest of ur time playing this then go ahead. I can't stop you.

I'm here for this message! Be courteous to your opponents - but also be careful not to mistake players trying their best to be the same as being rude to you! Ultimately, they're just playing a game. BM is another matter, but still - if you're truly playing to have fun, don't make it conditional on your opponents conforming to your expectations.

Well the issue is more that everyone coming back to sweat for bp makes the games stressful when we should be celebrating and having fun. Nobody can really stop you from playing how you want. I just think it'd be better for all of us to not get so worked up and serious about this event. Like I stated, many survivors are grateful when you play with them in a fun way. If you don't want to do this then don't, it's simple. Just a recommendation if you want to brighten someone's day today.

I was trying to. I was even playing some weak killers to chill.
My opponents didn't agree and pushed the gens so fast all I could do to counter was four-slug them with only one hook in range. The end of the match was pretty chill though.

This is very true. I think many players, especially newer ones, take a good opponent as an insult. One's who help their teammates by body blocks while the teammate is on death hook or something like that. Lots of people get mad about that, but it's really a good idea if they aren't about to die. It's important to recognize when you're being outplayed instead of jumping to the conclusion they're trying to be toxic.

I always do. Changed my name to Bubba Like Cake for the event, if I see cakes, we getting 100K+ bois

idk. i feel like if i give people an inch they take a mile. i loosen up a bit, all the gens are done and i have 2 hooks. i play less relaxed, i get the blame for the match being sweaty. either way i come out of it feeling awful

No one is malding. It's just not a useful skill. Your job is to kill them, not relate to them while they go out of their way to make your game as difficult as possible.

I’ve come back after months off to get some cakessssss and the first thing I encounter is hyper sweat !!! I’m surprised people still sweat this game out like it’s a mlg tournament, 3 blights and 2 nurses, ruin scorge pop slugging !! Gosh it don’t get old one bit

I've experienced nothing but sweaty killers who camp and tunnel at 5 gens. Kinda sucks but this happens every year so I live with it and move on to the next match.

It's not tilting, it's just...annoying. It's like playing out a hard fought match of Rugby, losing and then, when it's time to shake hands at the end of the game, your opponent spits in your face and calls you a loser.
It's...odd how this is acceptable in the video game world, and nowhere else.

exactly survivors are not interested in a "relaxed" match they will rush gens if you let them, last 2 match I played against multiple prove thyself and event toolboxes, but then if I run 3 gen slowdown perks and actually kill them I'm "sweating", I'm toxic / need to be banned.....
and then opposite is also true, matchmaking put me against complete noobs with my tryhard build and it's just a mismatch, it's not enjoyable either

Was nice all the matches it took for me to get Trickster's mask. I just put on some feel-good vibe music as I looked for the invitation and messed around doing twirls and circles to the music. Helped lead some people to invitations. Most people seemed to gen rush and left thinking I was tricking them maybe, but it was nice and relaxing helping them get their masks, and getting a mask myself with some good vibes. While it's fun playing DBD as it's intended, it's fun just messing around too to help others :) Had a few people dance and moonwalk with me too, and thank me afterward for the good vibes for the event.

You know, eventually I had quite a few fun games, just about at the 10pm mark, when the sweaty SWF all went to bed. I played a lot of Bubba, would hook everyone twice and then just roam around, kick gens and destroy pallets.
Most of the time the survivors wisened up to what I was doing. But no to my last game. We got three flans, the others brought survivor cakes sounded wonderful.
I chose the right gen at the start, got the drop on two survivors, and one beautiful chainsaw swing later I had two DCs. Flappergasted I hooked another one, went ALL the way to the other side of the map, found the last survivor, but that one was too afraid to do anything and the hooked survivor commited suicide on hook.
I couldn't find the last one, closed the hatch, because I didn't want to draw this out, cornered the Mikaela and nodded at her, she nodded back. But by then there was no time left to open the doors and she died to The Entity. The whole game must have been over sub 4min, and the BP bounty was the most pitiful amount.

Sore winners is what they're called. It's a video game and after the match is over you really can't do anything anyways. Just be nice and move on. It's very simple. They want to gloat their victory and when you say something negative or bm back they feel better about the win. You can still leave with your pride intact. While also squandering their victory by not giving them what they want.
You really can't take bm serious in this game. If a killer is playing like a douche, just suicide and move on. If you have survivors that you can't kill who agitate you, open the gate and stare at a corner. You are the only one who gives it power. You can even DC if you feel like you're getting super frustrated. There's no shame in it. But sticking around to stir the negativity doesn't help you. And after all, it is just a game. Probably one of the few places in life where you can choose to remove yourself from the negativity and do something else for a while.
