Does flailing arms hurt you on hook?

Hey, my friend is adamant in the belief that flailing your hands on hook speeds up your hook timer, idk what it's called but I hope you get my point. I am pretty sure this isn't true at all but just to check, has anyone else ever heard of this? Like, am I wrong and this is just commonly known to everyone but me?

no cancelling the kobe animation before it goes through will not speed up your hook timer in any way

If the bar fills all the way up...pain.
Otherwise its fine and can be a good way to signal ppl

I actully tested that out cause I had the same speculation as your friend. No it does not. It's only good exercise for the survivors biceps
