Question about the Dredge
Because I still don’t understand how his ability works and all, but why does everything go dark and when does it end??? The killer is cool and scary but I get so confused and frustrated and I like can’t see anything.

You have a countdown on your portrait icon, much like Freddy's dream state. It fills progressively before nightfall triggers, then it depletes until it ends.
During Nightfall, the Dredge has a much faster teleport, so beware of chases during nightfall and when he teleports, as he could suddenly appear in front of you to cut you off.

His secondary power (main being the Teleport) is called Nightfall.
Anytime killer hits someone (injure, down), hook someone or use his teleport he gains charges to his Nightfall. Also the more Survivors are injured at the same time, the faster the Nightfall meter grows.
When the power reaches 85%, everyone will hear that big scary sound with small flash of dark screen, it is like a warning that Nightfall is coming soon.
When nightfall hits 100%, then for 60 seconds (unless the killer runs addon that increase it to 80 seconds) you don't see anything pass 12-14 meters from you. Also killers teleport ability is WAY faster to use (Cooldown from 12s to 4s during nightfall) and teleport speed is super fast. He can also see everyone in his line of sight in White aura so you can't really hide in bush or something. Only solid objects will hide you.

Nightfall is a passive ability that fills up with every hit, hook, and passively over time, at an increased rate at how many you have of the first two. By default, it lasts a minute once it's active. Additionally, a sound cue plays just before it activates. The Dredge does not press a button for it to trigger, it happens automatically.
And you're supposed to have very, very low visibility.

To add to what everyone has said it's on a charge system, 300 charges and nightfall happens. A survivor getting hooked or injured is 20 charges, staying injured gives them 1 charge a second per survivor so everyone injured is 4 charges a second and while hiding in lockers they get 6 charges per second.
So if a dredge wants to create maximum nightfall triggers they'll be teleporting around a lot hit and running keeping everyone injured. If you wanna keep nightfall away stay healthy and split up so they can't get multiple hits on people easily.

One tip I will give you is healing during nightfall is usually a bad idea. Especially if it is my Nurses Calling Sloppy Dredge.
