anyone else enjoying the sweat?

I have been hearing complaints... but tbh it makes me better to deal with all the sweat lords. you got killers running meta builds and survivors focusing on gens a lot more to make use of the event. it means i can change up my decision making and because im not running some absolutely meta build i have to adapt my gameplay to win as many situations as i can. survivors hyper focus gens? i just need to down them faster and slug at the right times. i may be getting lots of 2k and 3k but at least i know i am able to handle people trying really hard to win.

as a survivor im starting to see better killers too, so even though i have my muscle memory from before bootcamp and all that other crap that prevented me from playing i can start getting even better at looping and gens because now the killers will actually know what they are doing more than the lower mmr.

although it is annoying and frustrating alot as survivor and less so as killer, i am able to get better and i enjoy that. Anyone else feel that way?

I always vastly prefer sweaty games. DbD is more fun when I have to think about what I'm doing and strategize a bit. Being able to sleepwalk for 12 hooks is just boring.

Honestly no. The game is incredibly imbalanced which becomes more obvious when people sweat/try hard and why it's such a contentious issue. It basically makes 95% of the games content (well perks) useless and/or outclassed and ultimately is tilted to the survivors significantly. In a word Yawn.

If matchmaking worked of course this wouldn't be such an issue because sweaty players would be matched against other ones but for example just now with the exception of 1 game every game (of around 10) was either against an afk killer or a sweat lord running Nurse/Spirit + top tier perks/addons or some other well known combination.

Anytime i boot up the game I just assume its gonna be a sweatfest, going in expecting it not to be is just dumb its DBD this is the 2nd most toxic gaming community aside from LoL

Well that's exactly the issue. Everyone is in the same queue and there's no distinction between someone at 1500 MMR with a casual build and someone at 1500 MMR with a meta build and a competitive playstyle. Their MMR can be identical and the match would still be unbalanced.

The game isn't wildly unbalanced when everyone has loadouts of similar strength and similar playstyles. There's just no way to account for it currently, and it causes a lot of unnecessary friction within the playerbase.

This. What is the point of playing a competitive game if the other team rolls over and dies the moment cracks start to show.

I could still do without all the BNP's though - I have a pending Workers' Comp case from generator completion whiplash.

I take zero responsibility for my BNP spam. I'm solo queue. I get a pass.

The current sweat doesn't feel legitimate, it feels a malicious, you have an event that clearly rewards longer games but seems like everyone is trying their hardest to make sure the other side is gimped out of rewards as possible.
