Thank you Dead Hard and Dredge for ruining the Event.
Okay the event is not ruined. It's actually in many points much better then the last two years. The masks look amazing, we get more cakes then last year and the Bonus challenges are interesting and a nice little Bonus.
But...it could be so much better. And that's because of mostly 2 things that in my opinion make some of the rounds while the event is happening completely miserable.
Dead hard: A problem since years but in the last few months a Perk that makes the game boring and stupid. Press E to win bla bla bla, everthing about this perk has been said and there is counter play in a way but it's just annoying to wait if the person dead hards or not. And in loops it's just miserable when you manage to mind game but the survivor reaches the pallet anyway trough one Button and 0 skill.
Dredge: The newest killer in dead by daylight and...I don't know who plans the tomes and Events but what where you thinking? The newest killer is always to 80% being too strong or too weak until the next mid chapter Update or a Update inbetween where they get changed a bit. Who had the idea to make that killer the event and challenge "maskot"?
Every 2-3 game is this killer and...he is just annoying. I wouldn't even say that he is too strong. Just annoying. The game is not fun when every 1-2 minutes the game get's completely dark with annoying screaming Sound.mp4 playing in the background. I thought the Ghostface printer chase music was annoying but no.
So we have a event where every survivor brings the same boring strong perk and most of the killers play this annoying killer because he is the newest and because he has limited time Event challenges. Thank you behavior :D

Yeah but it doesn't make sense to promote a killer, with a event, when the killer isn't fixed and tweaked

I'm not getting Dredge super often, and as far as annoying killers go, he's not -that- bad, Legion exists after all.
Also Dredge is a pretty balanced killer.

Sounds like you should take a break from the event if it's triggering you.

There isn‘t really anything big to be fixed or tweaked. Granted, his Nightfall needs to be tweaked to make it easier on those people that are struggling with it more than intended, without nerfing it's intended effect, which i hope they do soon, but in general the Dredge is very well balanced, not too strong, and not too weak, despite maybe needing a few, very minor tweaks.
Of course they are going to focus on the new killer and survivor, they are the new anniversary content. Many people seem to be very happy with the new killer as well, from both sides. If you don't enjoy dredge, thats fine of course. But what makes you think your opinion is above everyone else's? I for one wish I would go against Dredge much more often, but I don't seem to be getting lucky in that regard.

Of all the killers to complain about right now you choose a well balanced killer when Nurse with bugged range addons still exists

Frankly I'd like to thank Nurse, Hex: ruin and face camping for making me sad during this. Hex: ruin can't be nerfed into the ground soon enough, it's such a dice roll perk. Either completely busted or useless. The other gen regression I don't have issues with. Dead Hard obviously too can go suck one but because more people are playing killer at the moment, I'm doing more survivor to get into games sooner.
Ghostface also gets a special mention. He isn't on the same level of power, I just dislike facing him immensely.
Having said that I'd like to thank wholesome players on both sides who try their best to make sure everyone has fun, though I'd argue that number is maybe 10-15% at best.

Playing against Dredge has been the most fun I've had in this game in a long time and I'm super happy half of my games are against him.

I'd gladly take Dredge over the mass amount Nurses, Legion, and Nemesis's (who are by far more annoying) I've been getting during this event.

Dredge is a fun killer to play against for me. Though i agree the moaning can be grating. I would dare touch nightfall since its a cool adition to dbd and i love how its a power that mixes things up.

The dredge's nightfall is fantastic to face and to play.
One of the most interesting and thematic killer powers yet.
The only annoying thing about DBD is the players whom want every game to be the same. The nerf it all into the ground till nothing is different or interesting crowd.

Name one killer, one, that was too strong on release outside of Nurse that was literally 6 years ago..I'll wait.

I would love to see killer powers who mix up the way to play the game

Op doesn't know how to lock lockers and W hold if the dredge uses their power.... I have faced him a total of 5 times since his release, and i am playing more survivor since all the survivor mains are on killer for bp and clogging the queue. At the end of the day he is still just a basic m1 killer and not that strong.

Got to give it to Dredge, the only killer to dethrone Legion in the survivor complaints of recent.
Haven't heard a peep about "Mending" since "Nightfall" came out ;)

One of the biggest events in dbd isnt the hallowed blight? That if im wrong two years ago was released shortly after blight? And had blight related challenges? And even addons?
