The new update in two sentences
Coordinated top level meta perk Survivors are nerfed, while uncoordinated solo queue Survivors that weren't running full meta are buffed.
Basic M1 Killers without meta perks are buffed, while strong power based Killers that were running high slowdown are basically the same because the buffs/nerfs cancel out.

That is very exaggerated, but I suppose you can say that and make this whole thing into us vs them pretending that one side got more love than the other.

What I've taken from these changes are that the meta is different but the strategy will still be the same.
Killer will still run 4 slowdown perks. Pain Res, Pop, Deadlocked, DMS, Thana etc. Survivor will still be an anti-tunnelling perk and exhaustion perk. Probably BT, DS, Unbreakable and Sprint Burst. Off The Record might be in there I'm not certain.
The basekit pallet break, gen kick, gen speed changes are good.
Also the prestige changes are a massive disappointment as expected and I'm really sad to admit that.

I think with the kicking gens buff we might see Overcharge used more often, especially since it got massively buffed.

OP made no effort to distinguish an 'us vs them' argument out of the forthcoming update. Read it again.

"Basic M1 Killers without meta perks are buffed, while strong power based Killers that were running high slowdown are basically the same because the buffs/nerfs cancel out."
They are saying that killers got all buffs and basically the killer meta is basically the same, when in reality most of the issue perks and slowdowns got nerfed or counters added to them the only perks that can be seen as true buffs/nerfs cancel outs are overcharge and off the record, overcharge being the new go-to slowdown perk and off the record is the new ds annoy killer perk. If you don't get them specifically saying one side got off better as them creating us vs them argument then I don't know what to tell you.

You're literally ignoring his first sentence.

Overcharge might become meta but it's hard to know for certain.
Have they changed the meta? Yes but has it really changed the core game? No.
If the objective was to remove slowdown perks from the killer meta then it 100% won't work. Survivor meta has changed but very very slightly.
1 -
Yea, agreed.
The Jolt buff (a perk some Killers were already running) is another example that slowdown perks are still going to be a thing. Slowdown is still going to be the go to for Killers. And healing/second chance is still going to be the go-to for Survivors.

Exactly

The difference now though is if you run a loadout with no slowdown at all you are a bit better off after this update because of the base game changes. So there’s at least some extra flexibility.

Since they can't come up with anything interesting for the game, the slow it down another 5 minutes for survivors while also making them a lot easier to catch by the killer.

Solo Q got buffed in what planet?
1 -
Exactly, are they high? Otz just made a video explaining how bad solo q will be after this, half the comments are complaining that the spine chill nerf will hurt solo q even more as you have no coordination from teammates so it’s heavily relied on.
Pretty much the end of solo q

If they stop running Spine Chill maybe they will finally learn to take aggro and loop once in awhile
1 -
Good. Spine Chill was busted against stealth killer
