The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Devs too scared to nerf Dead Hard, as expected.

New dead hard will still reward bad survivor plays. Now everytime a killer catches up to a survivor near a window, just press E right before vaulting and it's a free escape. They can still recklessly greed pallets, just make sure you press E before putting the pallet down and you're good to go. Basically if a survivor times it right (which most good survivors can, it's not hard at all) you get MORE of a reward (endurance hit speed boost) and it's still a third health state. As expected the devs were too scared to nerf survivors favourite perk too much. Let's see how the PTB turns out, it'll still be the strongest exhaustion perk.

If they go to a window and stand still to press e i will laugh a second later as they slowvault the window and i get to skip the attack cooldown animation

They can press E while running, no need to pause to press E.

Most complaints about Dead Hard was it being used to get distance and not to avoid the hit. Now survivors, especially those who were never skilled with dead hard in the first place, won't be able to be overly greedy and abuse the distance they gain from pressing E.. It's not going to be nearly as abusable, meaning it is def a nerf.

I was very surprised by this change. They turned it into a literal third health state complete with speed boost.

I wouldn't say it's clearly a nerf, just an overall nerf.

It's still able to eat up Killer Powers, like Shred or Nemesis' Tentacle Strike, even putting them in the Successful-Attack cooldown, unlike it's current iteration
