You sure don't make it easy. Just had a game where all 3 survivors tried to bodyblock me from getting my 8th hook, I mean, I left right after, but jeez

I try my best to 8 hook before I kill someone but I'm not going to go out of my way to do it, especially if other survivors are going to actively try to get in my way.

Well I personally like to go out of my way, up until that point, I didn't tunnel, didn't camp, the least they could do was let me cap out my hook count

I literally did everything in my power to let these last 3 people complete the match(as a killer). I went across the map , let them heal and complete gens . Towards the end I chased a bit, did a hit here and there. At the end I even let one struggle off my shoulder and then they just DC'd and said I was tunneling . I literally can't wait til I can play bots in customs so I never have to deal with this ######### again

I'll try. But if I can't find you, or you start dropping sabos/saves/bodyblocks in my face, all bets are off. Especially when it's absolutely obvious that I'm going out of my way not to camp, tunnel, slug without need and 2 hooking everyone.

Dude honestly, if I don't have a kill by 3-4 hooks. I'm tunneling someone out, you literally have to unless you're playing against literal babies.
Until BHVR adds an actual benefit to hooking multiple people without ever killing anyone, there's literally no reason for me to waste my time on it. I need to get a kill and actually apply pressure or else gens will just keep flying and I've accomplished nothing.

To all the killers that try to play in a way thats good for the game, thank you. Its not always easy, but its appreciated (even if it doesnt always seem like it).
To all the survivors that put up a good fight, without crossin the line into unnecessarily annoying, thank you too.

I mean, trust is a 2 way road, you need to build it, and I personally think it's being built by having the opportunity to stab someone but not doing it because no everyone is one hooked, or that I stab them and then walk away to apply some sort of pressure elsewhere

I mean, if you have a kill by 3-4 hooks, it means you already have tunneled someone out.
All you're saying is that if your early tunnel wasn't succesful, then you're gonna keep doing it harder.

Bro nothing I said had anything to do with 3-4 hooks being a kill. That can be a hook on each person. one hook on 2 people and 2 hooks on another.

I don’t think anyone expects you to two hook everyone.
However, that being said. Players question Tunneling as a “balanced” strat overall. That message and feedback is for the devs not for you to have sympathy.

I mean, I two hooked all the other survivors up until that point, I had alot of opportunities, but the most I did was zap them and hit them when they were healthy

I'd rather have a close and hard fought 4 man escape than to get an easy 4K because I just tunneled the hell out of someone
A fun 4 man escape is better than an easy but boring 4K any day in my book

Honestly, I alter my play depending on the players. =) If you're being an ass, I will be an ass. Continuous body blocking/flash lighting = tunneling. Using Boil Over + dead zones = babysitting/slugging to make sure you're dead. Camping means I will stay on the hook to make sure everyone does gens and you don't get a 4K. Insidious means Imma kill myself so I can't be used as bait.
If everyone plays nice, I try to get 2 hooks on everyone, or at least let 1-2 people go.

Again your goal as Killer is to kill 4 survivors by whatever means. You may as well cheat if you are just going to fake your play and let them go.
That´s what breaks the game, the stupid challenges enforcing fake play and people allowing entitled Survivors escape.
Survivors always try to escape unless they are doing a stupid challenge.

My goal isn't always to escape. It's just to have fun and run around. Honestly. I like escaping chases more than I escaping the trials.

I've shifted to showing pretty much zero courtesy towards survivors who unhook & bolt off in the safest direction, leaving their injured, unhooked teammate to fend for themselves. Like, if that's the play, then yeah I'm going to get into the easier chase.
There's a glut of folks out there who try to use ridiculing the killer in postgame chat as a substitution for playing smart.
