I want to but p3ing 30+ characters are nigh impossible.

i prestiged all my killers to p3 the ones i play 99% of the time where already p3 with all perks im not really doing it for the reward i prestiged my killers to p3 because when the overhaul hits i instantly have every perk on every killer.
BBQ and WGLF will get "nerfed" because they dont give 100% extra bp anymore after overhaul so if you want to get P3 after the patch it will take 50% longer as of now. Atm with 5 cakes BBQ +bloodhunt this weekend if you play killer and can max out your points you get 250k bp/match while when the patch hits its only max 32k. (unless you are using cakes/party streamers or something else)
so if you have 4 matches with 5 cakes you reduce the grind atm by 75% because the bloodpoints. 4 hours = 1 hour
Its after you P3 your character the grind is 75% less but before P3 its gonna take double the time when patch hits.
I rather p3 now at 150k/250k bp per match then after the patch when its 25k per match. saves me a bunch of time

there is literally almost zero reason to prestige at this point. unless you're mad and want those bloody cloths. with the useless reward pending, and a stack of flans waiting in every character, there is even less reason to do it cause u will lose the double bps buff when prestiging. u better just get all the perks on the chars u didnt prestige (yet) and wait for the update

I knew pretty early on it was gonna be pretty meh from what Mandy was saying. It's basically what I expected it to be, something to "show off" in lobbies or endgame or whatever.
I didn't prestige Trapper or Jake in 2016 for legacy even though I had them at lvl 50ish - because of the harsh grind. The grind then became a lot easier and I regretted it very much!
Of course, it's not legacy but I'm not making the same mistake this time even though it is just an exclusive prestige logo/banner. The grind will become SO much easier there's really no point not trying to P3 everyone - excluding the fact if u want to keep rare items/offerings. If you play a lot like me, soon enough you'll have everyone P3'd anyway, with max perks.

I've wanted them to make an auto buy for the blood web, its just so boring. If I am going to 'play' DBD, I do not consider the blood web entertaining. Just click "auto-buy" and watch it instantly spend ALL your blood points, see what level you are, assign perks, LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!

When the new system rolls out, they said it will "catch up" with people who went over level 50, awarding them an adequate level of prestige, so there is no difference between prestiging or simply going over level 50 right now.
The only thing you're doing by prestiging is throwing away all the bloodpoints you spent on offerings and addons.
The only difference there is between prestiging someone to P3 and getting all the perks on someone is an icon in the endgame screen AND a mountain of flans burned in the process.

Yeah, I'm on the grind right now. Only have about 10 characters left. I'm earning so many BP per day. No better time than now.
Although I feel I might not be able to gather many anniversary items or cakes on my mains. Oh well.

I have my fav killers and survs on P3, the rest is 50 and almost all perks. and really... just for a special icon? no thx, i love to play dbd but i have better to do as to grind the next 4/5 weeks ... the BP boost's at the moment are fine but i preffer to stack more items, addons and offerings.
So a clear and big NO!

I never went over 50 with the killers i did not like so much. I only unlocked the teachable perks so in total i would have had maybe 1 page of perks.
While there will be a catch up mechanic i dont think 1 page of perks will get me to p3 when overhaul hits.
Atm we also do not now how many perks you need in order to level up a prestige or go to P3 after rework.
For example: Lets say Hag i do not play her... from the 84 perks i have 1 page of 15 perks (all between rank 1 - 3) If i spent 3 mil bp she is P3. To max out her perks (all 84 of them) i need to spend 6 - 7 mil so i basicly need to spend more then i would prestige her. The flans do not matter as i dont play her.
i already have all my killers i like and play at p3 with all perks before the rework system was announced. so for me it takes less time just to prestige the few i never play so why should i keep flans on them when im never going to use them in the first place...
The killers i like already have over hundreds of flans and i still have cakes from previous year also. :)

You should be able to get it even if you go over level 50 far enough with Myers without burning all you offerings, addons and perks, and since the new system will "play catch up" it means that if you keep levelling up myers over level 50 you'll find him at prestige 3 in the new system
Prestige will not be optional anymore.
It means that every 50 level you get a prestige level.
Translating how many perks you have into how many prestiges you have shouldn't be hard.
From level 1 to level 40 you get 1 perk per bloodweb (the bloodwebs that generate 2 perks eat one as soon as you take the other) and from level 40 to level 50 you get up to 2 perks per bloodweb.
So from level 1 to level 50 you get 60 perk tiers.
Count your perk tiers (NOED tier 3 counts for 3, BBQ tier 2 counts for 2) and divide the total by 60, you get an idea of the prestige level you should gain (if BHVR does things fairly) once the new prestige rolls out.

I can't rationally justify it, but as long as I have at least one flan, my inner completionist is satisfied. I can have the one in my vault to look at next to all the pins and say "yup, I have those".

well, i think i will P3 all my killers, idk about survs tho, my only P3s are Jeff and Cheryl(James) cause i play mainly them. See no reason to p3 others, i will probably never play them.

An Icon omg!! So nice of them to give almost no value.
I already have all killers p3 before this year started (excluding sadako and dredge) and will not bother prestiging survivors especially since the reward is just a dumb icon instead of something like at least cosmetics or a variant legacy-ish.
Won't lose all my 4th year/5th year cakes for an icon + flashlights and toolboxes for an icon.

Of course not. I have my favourite characters P3 already. And since retroactive prestige will be a thing, I rather put BP into others to unlock perks on them and keep add ons and items. After update my P0 Nea with all perks will become P4 or 5 anyway.
No need to waste BP for that kind of reward

lets see if i understand what you say so basicly we have a total of 84 Perks that means 252 perk tiers. (killer side)
if you are level 50 without prestiging and not goin beyond you have 60 perk tiers.
So in order to get P3 after rework we need 120 perk tiers on a character never prestiged if they actually count the first 60 as a prestige level (so another 1.5 - 1.6m bp)
If they start counting from lvl 50 and the first 60 do not count you need 180 perk tiers (so thats roughly about 3.0 - 3.2m bp you need to spend)
If your values are correct you can skip 1 prestige level in the rework if you have 120 perks. if behaviour plays it that you need 180 perk tiers to get p3 (because we did not get any values yet) you basicly need the bloodpoints to level a char to p3 without any perks.
For the people who have already allot of addons on certain killers not prestiging can be worth it so they are not losing anything.
but in th example i gave i only needed to P3 killers i never play like hag so why not go to p3 unlock the perk tiers and cosmetics as i will never use addons/offerings on her. The amount of bloodpoints stays the same. So the icon and cosmetics are just a little extra.
also:
so according to your values my prestige 3 characters with all perks (252 perk tiers) will get an aditional 6 prestige levels so that means that they are going to P9 when the rework hits?

I've P3ed Nancy and have Meg & Elodie at P2 lvl 50 (waiting to use their flans before P3ing them), and Dwight, Nea & Kate at P1 lvl 50 (also waiting to use their flans before P2ing them). I think i'll P3 all of them before the update drops, maybe I'll even have time to P3 a couple other more people if I still have flans.

Ah you're right, you need to ignore the first 60 tiers because you're at P0 while you collect them, so the conversion should be something like:
0 - 59 perk tiers: No prestige gained
60 - 120 perk tiers: 1 prestige gained
121 - 179 perk tiers: 2 prestiges gained
180 - 239 perk tiers: 3 prestiges gained
240 - 299 perk tiers: 4 prestiges gained
I feel you, and the main reason I'm complaining about the stupid icon is that I basically feel like I threw away my items from old events and I will never be able to get them, for nearly nothing.
I'm valuing the fact that I could have had some Pustula Petals offerings on my characters more than an icon in the endgame screen.

And that's where my ######### pet peeve is
They gave the choice, sure, you can have the P3 icon on your character, but you gotta say bye to your flans, the bloodpoints you used to buy them AND the bloodpoints you could have gained from them, because there's NO WAY you'll manage to use 58 flans on every character AND prestige everyone to P3 before the event ends
And all that for a ######### shiny pin in the endgame screen? Hell no, ######### hell BHVR, I'll level up everyone a couple of times to get flans and event items and then stop playing until the new system rolls out.

I mean like, maybe if I didn't have a full time job and friends ready and able to snatch me away to Divinity and Ark I'd be able to get the rest of my killers to P3? Bill's already at P3, I don't care about the other survivors.

If you don't care about using the flans you get, and don't care about sleeping enough hours, I'd say it depends on how many prestiges you need, but it's dire
Or I mean, maybe if you don't have a SO that pretends to receive attention during weekends you can avoid sleeping for this weekend of double bloodpoints that was 100% not set up to avoid player loss given the controversial things they did in the update (most of it is good, but people concentrate on the few bad ones, and they're VERY bad)
