what to do now with spending bloodpoints/prestiging during this event + bloodhunt
I've read different approaches as to what to do best now with the massive bloodpoints we're getting as of right now. 100k is pretty average per match with all the flans and bloodhunt.
What is best to do?
- 1)Prestige= lose all flans u possibly have (a lot of my survivers have p3 already)
- 2)Just continue getting all perks on all the chars surv and killer without prestiging further
- 3) why keep playing to put points and buy perks when i get them anyway through the new system? so is it really effective to keep playing until the new system arrives?

Step 1: you must create a sense of scarcity
Flans will sell much better if the people think they're rare, you see
Bare with me, take as many flans as you can find and hide them on an island. Stockpile them high until they're rarer than a diamond.
But for real, using one flan will usually get you 3 more. So keep using one to stockpile even more and eventually the new system will make it easier for you to get perks as well. I'm doing the second choice you stated because for me it is easier and faster to get all the teachables at lvl 40 for each character so I dont have to wait until after the patch finally drops to get the perks I want. It would just take too long for me personally when I can take advantage of the event right now.

On my case is unlocking all the perks in all killers. Being doing a challenge were I keep playing a killer until I loose, and for every win I spend BP on him/her.

Dredge will be my final p3 in current state, finished him p3 all perks days ago. I have stopped progressing any survs or killers and dumping all BP into Bubba for cakes. I p3ed Dredge and got like 300 cakes on him, I want to get as many flan as I can on BUbba since BBQ BP Bonus nerf too, at least I will be able play hundreds of matches with 100xBP

There's no point in prestiging anyone at this stage.
Keep using and buying flans while they're available.

Stocking up on Flans. My Doc is on 256 now - 64 on PS4. +some on other Killers and Survs.
And make sure that you just start a new Bloodweb at the end that the last flans are there.

I traded 20 flans and 2 BPS to p3 Legion, but I think that'll be my last one. Might P3 Bubba if I can use up ~50 flans. Mostly I just want to stock up on those sweet sweet bloodpoints, and continue building my hoard of addons on Plague into the sky.
Option 3 isn't really a thing. You'll still need bloodpoints for addons and future characters. Flans = bloodpoints, bloodpoints good, use flans.

yes and I am also buying one level per killer and leaving the flans there in bloodweb for later on alrdy p3ed killers too. So all killers will have additonal 3 flan at the ready later down the road

Doesn't prestiging characters in advance get you their bloody skins and their perks?
I thought getting someone to P3 before this progression rework would let you keep their bloody skins + have their T3 perks on all characters.

It does, but since the changes to BBQ and WGLF, it's better to just keep your flans and not lose all your items. It'll take more prestiges down the road if you want these items, but you won't lose anything to get these items.

I'm going to go for number 4 though
Spend bps to get event items/offerings on everyone, finish the event tome, reach 1 million bps, stop playing until the new prestige system rolls out

I just prestige whichever character I like, right now, even if it means loosing 30+ flans. In the end, I will always end up with around 50 flans on level 50, so I can use this time to be rather productive? I changed my mindset, though: now I am not doing it just to get this dumb icon, I am doing it to unlock as many perks for all my killers, once the new update goes live, and to get as many bloody cosmetics for as many killers as I care for, so that I am not forced to prestige to P6 with everyone. Occasionally I will throw 500k or so at my Pyramid Head, who is the one killer who is P3 and has every perk unlocked, just to stockpile flan on him.

You get that anyway by prestiging after the change, and you'll get to keep your items.
Plus your progress will transfer over to the new system. If you've invested 200 bloodwebs in a character, prestiged or not, then they'll automatically be P4 after the rework.

Im spending all bp on my favorite characters and get the cakes and itens on them, others i will spend after release the new system, because i will dont lose anything with the prestige, and i intend put all on p3, but, after, thinking in the future content

get as many flans as possible
bloodpoint gains will be awful without a 2x bp offering once the mid chapter goes live, plus you get to prestige and keep your flans once it comes out

a follow up question: how many perks do you need to get when you don't prestige after reaching level 50 bloodweb, to get the equivalent of prestige 3 in the new system?

I am not sure. I guess there will be a lot of BP incentives to play Killer with the new system. That replaces BBQ in some kind.

2 perks per bloodweb, 1 per bloodweb for the early levels lets say under 25... Approximately 275 perk tiers, so 91 perks, which is just about all of them...

I'm leveling up every character I have to 50 so I can prestige as soon as the update hits

i mean sure, but what if you dont wanna play the role with bp incentives? youll only get around 23k-ish on surv and 28k-ish on killer, thats barely even half of a lvl 50 bloodweb.

You get around 60 perk tiers from level 1 to level 50 in the bloodweb.
So to get P3 on a P0 character you need 180 perk tiers unlocked (if BHVR does things fairly).
Like, if you have Self Care at level 3 you have 3 perk tiers unlocked, if you have Small Game at level 2 you have 2 perk tiers unlocked.

Are you saying the conversion will go by how many perk tiers you have rather than how many levels you've completed?

Yeah, but according to what the devs are saying, it will be P4, P5 and P6 to get bloody cosmetics in the future. It will take even longer to get the full set compared to now, which would mean that it's worth it to try and get bloody cosmetics now to save time, when it's easy to rebuild stockpiles.

If the cosmetics are more important to you I guess.
But if you play a character enough you'll get to P6 soon enough, you need to invest BP for add ons and offerings remember.
For example, I'm expecting to hit the ground at P4 or maybe even P5 for Jake, Claudette, Doctor and Ghostface, as soon as the rework goes live. Seeing as I've long stopped getting new perks on their bloodwebs.

I use up all my flans on someone, pouring those points into other characters, then prestige the one whose flans I used up. Repeat until I've P3'd all the survivors who don't have old event items/offerings. (All my killers are already P3 on PS4, and I don't play killer on Switch enough to justify putting any BP into them because killer on Switch is a miserable 5fps low-sensitivity can't-see-anything-because-the-gamma-is-crap experience.)

I’ve moved to p3ing Nancy/Steve since their cosmetics won’t come until p4-6 now since they don’t have perks. There’s like 3 more cosmetics I’d like but I don’t think I’ll get it before mid patch.

Um... yes? The devs said in the update that P1 through P3 is for perks while P4 through P6 is for bloody cosmetics. P7 through P9 is for special charms related to the character's teachables.
