Killing your darlings

Whenever I play killer I always have a weak spot for the survivors I main myself (Felix/Leon), and therefore cannot kill them. Well, unless they're absolutely toxic players.

I'm wondering if anyone else has this as well? If so, who is it that you cannot kill?

I have more of an opposite blinding rage for specific looking Claudettes aka Blendettes and tend to go out of my way to tunnel them out (if found).

My survivor main account is Feng and I’ve never felt a need to spare her. If I was trying to match your ‘feelings’ then seeing a Dwight slow vault into a locker, in front of me, is precious enough to pretend like I didn’t see nothing and move away.

Michaela and Meg especially if they do the cute slow walk, don't have iron will and they move their heads around in front of me.

Them. I have killed Kate’s and Nancy’s when I’m forced to buy it really rare. I have only killed one jill but she was super toxic. Claire I will never kill although there was one time where one almost gave me a free kill in the endgame collapse but I carried her to the exit

I think the only character I might find it hard to kill is Dwight, but only if the player seems a bit new and doesn't use cosmetics I find ugly.

When I decide to spare specific Survivors, it's mainly based on their gameplay. If someone is injured and on death hook, but still decides to bodyblock and go down for their teammate who is in the same position, essentially dying for their teammate, there is no way I can kill them.

I might also let a Survivor go if we've had a funny moment together earlier in the game. If I for example manage to block someone in a corner, and we just kinda stare at each other and they crouch, or if I see/hear them go into a locker and I stop in front of it and slowly turn towards them. That kind of thing is way too funny to me, and might stop me from actually killing that Survivor later.

All Quentins and Leons get hatch from me.

I love that! Those kinds of moments make the game so much more fun!

Glad to know I'm not the only one! 😄

I always struggle to kill Jeff and Jane players because I main them. I also struggle to kill tapp players because I swear they are god loopers 90% of the time

Yui players without Iron will makes me feel bad for hitting her poor girl she actually sounds like she's in pain and agonizing :(

If they're the last survivor alive Laurie/Cheryl/Yui players always get hatch from me expect if they sandbagged one of their teammates earlier of course.

most of the time I give hatch when it was a very close game and every survivors tried their best to escape so I am okay with getting the 3k and giving the last one alive hatch.

Never. I find peoples attachment to digital characters wired.

Is it why people get so upset over the game when they die because their digital waifu died?

    I genuinely don’t get it.

I second that Dwight feelings. You can often sniff out if its a players first couple of games. They are terrified by everything!

I had a Mikaela yesterday accidentally sandbag the first survivor I downed, and she got in the way and shook her head when I tried to pick her up. I let her have the Meg and went to go find someone else, and she spent the whole match bringing me gifts. It was adorable.

Even though I play all survivors at some point, Meg does most of the heavy lifting and is who I first picked the game up playing -- but I don't show favortism towards Megs in game. I've given hatches/doors/farming matches to pretty much everyone on the roster at this point. It's more about what that player has done in-game over what character they're playing.

Idk what a waifu is, sounds like someone sneezed mid-speaking, and I don't care enough to find out, but it's not that deep lol.

I mean...i just play the game, I don't look at who they're playing, I just like 2 hooking everyone, not because I don't have "feelings" for the survivors, but I'm thinking of the people on the other side of the screen instead

It shouldn’t be that deep but strikes me that some people take this stuff way to seriously.

Jakes and Quentins have an absolute immunity from me..

    Honorable mention: baby Leon mains. They all share one braincell and aren't the brightest, I just can't bring myself to hurt them. Like one time i snuffed one baby Leon's boon in front of him, he just looked at me, looked at the totem, looked down and went to the corner and didn't move from there until i forced him to. How I'm supposed to hurt this little ray of sunshine ;-;

Dwight, Leon and David. David especially if he's shirtless.

I have to say, I have a soft spot for Baby Dweets (default outfit) and Pizza Dwights (primarily the old Pizza-What! shirt, but also the full Pizza Delivery outfit as well).

Although the majority of the times its not really the character, but how they played. Players that aren't afraid to face a killer (and, yes, show me my counter-looping skills needs a LOT more improvement) get my respect ,and the hatch or some "killer" nods of respect at the exit gates.

I have let go of Dwights more than any others. I get mercy as Dwight more than any others. Dwight is love.

I have a soft spot for more survivor behaviour than specific survivors.

If they did a really good job outplaying me in certain tiles and I've got the option to let them go, I normally will just because I respect that. Likewise if they're meme-ing or having some fun, I'll let them go too.

I was playing on Gas Heaven the other day and there was a delightful Bill setting up shop in the Gas Station behind the counter. I came over and he served me, 'pressing' buttons on the register and provided absolutely fantastic service. After that, I felt that such a kind gentleman deserved to go back to the campfire via the hatch.
