Behavior needs to show us how new dead hard actually works
People keep saying that the new dead hard might be even better. Look what they did to spine chill/iron will and self care. Do you think the best perk of them all is going to get a buff? I guarantee there is some weird mechanic that makes it so it's pretty awful. Would be good to actually let us see exactly how it works so we can try and add some discussion to it.

I would imagine that was one of the main reasons they planned a stream to show off the new changes, which I'm given to understand is not a common thing at all.

The PTB will be here Tuesday.
The devs just mentioned Wednesday on their livestream.

We will literally find out in a couple of days.

That is what the PTB is for.

My hope is that the new Dead Hard's animation is incompatible with interactable actions.

To stop dead harding for distance, the animation will need to immobilize the survivor. Otherwise they'll just walk through the pallet, camp the pallet, and drop it on the killer's head the very instant that they're permitted to.

I'm concerned this exactly what is going to happen.

I'm honestly kind of more worried about the legions of subtle hackers out there with auto-deadhards. Automatic deadhards are kind of just annoying right now since an auto-deadhard in the open is much less impactful than a proper dead hard for distance into a vault/pallet. But post change any subtle hacker can just turn on the auto-deadhard and will be rewarded with three health states alongside full plausible deniability that they were just good at reading the killer and reacted properly with 'E'.
I know BHVR is doing the best they can to stop the hackers, but I really don't think that they should throw fuel on that fire by going live with these proposed changes.
