Biggest issues in this game is survivor SBMM and map design
While theres alot of issues in DBD these 2 are the biggest ones.
Survivor SBMM, a system not based off skill. Doesnt matter how good you are if the game decides to mix you with bad players or people that refuse to do gens you'll likely lose which in turn puts you with worse players.
This is not only bad because the system doesnt reward skill, but punishes you for something out your control. It also means good survivors that die because of their team are now versing weaker killers which they shouldn't be.
Maps, alot of maps have issues when it comes to the pallets and loops they spawn. Even more so when the rng is coded how it is turning two basic tiles into mega safe loops because you have tiles connecting through windows. (We dont need to speak about giddeon, that's obvious) but even maps like certain coldwind farms that stop huntress using her power because theres 0 gaps or elevations to allow you to use a hatchet. All these things need to be looked into when maps are worked on

Sbmm doesn't just screw over survivors. It F's with killers too. A killer can get 2 hooks on everyone but no kills and the game thinks they aren't skilled. Meanwhile a noob who didn't protect any gens, got zero hooks but managed to get 2 people with noed. The game thinks they're good. When bhvr said sbmm is based off kills and escapes it just further showed their incompetence. Instead of working on a real solution they choose the easy option and went back to making more ######### cosmetics.

Yeah fully agree, if always someone who thought hooks would be a better balance point for killers. Having said that though at least you have some control of the match, while survivor is just a dice roll on if it pairs you with people that wanna do gens or a non full tunneling killer

It's sad but I prefer the old emblem system. At least I could get 0 kills, or die as a survivor yet I could still rank up if I played well in all areas.

But if you a casual gamer like me, to good for normal but to bad for pros, you end up either inbetween 9 and 8 were every game is ######### or if you put just a bit pressure into it you end up in red. I don't think I have to tell anybody how stupidly bullshit red ranks were.

It's probably not realistic, but the maps need a huge balance pass and the RNG needs to be killed completely or dialed back. A lot of things are egregious in the hands of skilled survivors, like on Father Campbell's when the L/T wall spawns facing the god window in the chapel. Like....bruh.

I still get my emblems with both systems I just hate being told I'm bad because my team decided not to contribute.
Current mmr dont even seem to work anyway, one game every gen is done in a few mins and my team actually plays while the next I'm the only one able to do gens/chases
