Why is the p3 before the update reward so bad?
I hate to be that person whining about a reward but you threw glitter on a portrait in a "horror game" only I can see. For bragging rights? Ok lets assume that the reward was ok. Why glitter? For survivors its ok not amazing but ok. For killers why isnt there something more horror oriented. Its cool that we get recognition for it but I dont understand why this was the reward landed on. Hell I would have taken a charm over this.

I dont see how thats even remotely related tbh. Me not liking the p3 reward doesnt make me not like some of the perk changes, and the playerbase as a whole seems pretty unimpressed with the perk changes as a whole.

Someone suggested blood driping down the portraits. That would of been cool. The devs have so many design options for portraits and they pick a snapchat filter

Because it's not meant to be a reward, there's not meant to be any incentive for P3ing before the update, because it's fundamentally worse to lose all of your items and add-ons.
It's not a prize, it's a consolation. "I'm sorry you had something inferior before we improved things, take this token as our apology."

I hear you but P1-3 was always about the bloody cosmetics. Anything else is a bonus. I do think that players who did it should get some bragging rights in the match as it seems to be important to them and they sacrificed lots of items, addons, time, and effort.
I resisted prestige temptation all these years and all perks should get me to prestige 5 on all killers when the patch hits.

It is pretty pathetic of a reward. Don't know what possessed the devs into thinking that was in any way a good one, especially since only YOU get to see it and no one else. Wasn't the point of this reward to show the dedication you had before this change went into effect? Honestly, they might as well not give anything cause all this feels like to me is a participation trophy. Degrading and meaningless.

They could have made the portrait "corrupted" by the Legacy effect. Or blood, LOTS of blood.

I would prefer if P3 rewards would be current P III symbols at characters, that way it would be actual "prestige legacy"

Because of laziness. They don't want to give out an actual reward. If you don't want to bring back legacy cosmetics, fine, but at least give us some iridescent shards and/or BP. Even a charm would be better than this. All that hard work and for nothing but a crummy, low budget filter and a silly little icon. Pathetic.

It gets even lower, the effect isn't even a new asset or something they designed exclusively for prestige, it seems its just the same particles used in the rift huds, so there is that too.

Because it's as I said. They didn't even have the reward when they announced it. They probably don't even take it serious themselves, just laughing at how they hyped people up when they knew all they did was slap a filter on the portraits.

They literally could have just spent time on each of the portraits to make an infected or horror esque type of look. And also, a new legacy doesn't seem that hard to do. Perhaps all the survivors and killers get a blue legacy instead of orange. It doesn't seem that difficult to do

They initially had in mind to give people a different Prestige icon in the end game screen.
BHVR vaguely describes the reward people would get.
After a few complaints, they realized this idea was a bit ######### (we'll call this "######### reward").
They came up with a similar but WORSE idea (ugly glittery portrait that noone else can see) so that the community would complain and ask for the initial "######### reward".
Now after PTB is finished they can give the original ######### reward because "They listened to the community" and the community will be happy about being given ######### rewards.

There's been more than enough complaints when they announced the "special reward", even before releasing the PTB.
Personally, I couldn't give two ######### about an icon in the end game screen. Noone ever looks there and god forbid you have a bad match while having a shiny icon at the same time. The ######### you'd get from the 1 twat noticing it would be endless.

That's what I'm saying, it's clear from their communication that they intend to release the end game icon, the only reason I see for not releasing it in the PTB is the one I told you earlier, so that they can claim to have "listened to their community" when they actually release it on live.
If it turns out to be true, it's embarassing as ######### to say the least.

Well, they got almost 20k players on steam back during anniversary. We are making bets how fast they will lose all of them again. I guessed 3 months. Wanna guess too?

Well people who were playing only because they had to P3 the characters and get all the perks on them can stop playing even now, but 3 months puts us in October, and October is always big for DBD (unless they botch this Halloween event as well), so I'd say end of September it's going to be the lowest
