Pyramid head grabbed unhooking survivor while face camping cage of atonement?!
Does anyone know how this is possible? He stayed for at least 14 seconds close to me, not knowing where my teammate was, and then when my teammate tried to unhook, he just straight up grabbed my teammate and hooked him nearby.

It's a tactic used by killers who are bad at the game who need to force a win to feel worth.

He has to basically stay in your face for five straight seconds for the cage to relocate. It’s idiotic.

He was actually so close to me i thought the cage would relocate at any moment, but it didn't even after the grab.

If an Executioner is within 5 meters for 3.5 seconds, then it'll relocate. So yeah you can literally be facecamped by a Pyramid head without being teleported because the range is insanely close. That is so stupid.

The range for his attack is larger than the relocation area. Yeah, someone probably thought they were very clever when they came up with the relocation mechanic, then they literally botched it. HJe can literally just stand with his attack ready for as long as he wants and ship it as soon as the uncaging is complete. And BT won't work.

5 meters is such a short distance, if PH is standing 5.1 meters away he's close enough to make a grab before the caged survivor is rescued. Most times when I get a camping PH they don't bother trying for grabs, they stand just far enough away so the cage won't teleport but close enough that they can hit both the rescuer and the uncaged survivor with his power. DS/BT don't activate with cages so he can immediately hook the survivor he downed, if they happen to be on death hook he can go after the rescuer he just injured.

If that's a red forest map then I'd say they played it smart. On such large maps the killer is better off applying pressure where they know survivors will be than roaming blindly.

What’s hilarious is that the cage (on paper) is supposed to discourage camping and tunneling: it sends the survivor as far away as possible from the killer. Yet because it has set spawn points, denies perks related to hooks, still gives an explosion notification when someone is uncaged, and requires uncaging from the front (same reason swivel unhooking was introduced), it’s what gives Pyramid Head the deserved nickname Tunnel Head.

It's just a fact. IF your only way of winning is making sure other people can't play, you're giving yourself a handicap.
It's not open to opinion and it's not subjective.
We have 3 hook states for a reason and a person losing 1 chase doesn't make them a bad player at all.
There are many factors at play. A pallet missing, lag, sandbagging or body-blocking or surprise survivor in their way?
Or thinking they can take a hit and it being a part of their play but you having some form of one-shot perk of choice.
You're not good if you face camp, it's a F A C T. PROXY camping if you saw someone or see trackmarks? Mkay, that's fine.
Taking someone on their first down at 5 gens and standing too close for anyone to get them? You're OBVIOUSLY bad at chase and don't feel confident you can down someone before 5 gens and exit gates get powered. You - don't - deserve - the - win. You're forcing one, because you're bad and you can play HOW you want but you're STILL bad.
You didn't beat anyone, you took away their ability to play the game because you couldn't win. :P

I don't use DH? I use Lithe.
But not really? DH is a one-shot use with a long exhaustion just like anything else. You have to have a plan in motion to use it just like any other perk.
The only way it's OP is that killer can't learn " OH that one has Balanced so they're gonna try to find a way to get to the drop " or " A vault for the Lithe " , etc.
Regardless Deadhard is nerfed and will be very cumbersome to time I think now. I'm glad I don't have to relearn a perk like that. I'd probably end up exhausted on the floor with Current Deadhard as it is now. Lithe is baby.

I'm not here to argue. If you get facecamped, you deserve it for being bad. Whole point is to not get sacrificed. Be mad at yourself. :)
A win is a win whether it's deserved or not. If every survivor DCs, it's a win. If everyone dies on 3rd hook, it's a win. If everyone dies on 1st hook, it's a win. Hell, some killers are happy with ONE sacrifice. Who made you the referee? You don't get to decide what a win condition is. Keep telling yourself whatever you need to. If a facecamping killer isn't good and you die to them, what does that make you?
I'm not ashamed to say I've been outlooped, outplayed, and outsmarted by a slippery eel of a survivor. Some people are just good. Others get facecamped.
Good survivors never get hooked. Great survivors never go down. Exceptional survivors never get hit. Where do you fall?

Camping, which is fine, tunneling the killer is rushing his objective, a strat easily countered; camping and tunneling goes well against trashcan survivors who dont know the basics,the cage also didnt mooved which is weird

The range for the Cage relocation is quite small.
If the Survivor team loses against a face-camping Killer, it's the Survivors that were bad.
Face-Camping is one of the most inefficient moves a Killer can pull. If the Survivors manage to lose against a Killer that is standing in a single area, they are bad

The original reason why the cage relocation mechanic was implemented was because on release Pyramid Head could literally block the front end of the cage and prevent anyone from being able to rescue that person. Since cages are made different you can only rescue people from the front and not the sides like regular hooks. The relocation mechanic was NOT made to stop camping.

a way more effective camping strat of PH is to hold your power, wait a second after the unhook, then fire. normally you'll hit both survivors and get an easy down.

I mean yea thats crazy close but I think that was to stop survivors from forcing a cage teleport by making the chase go near the cage. Sadly it's one of those times where either way it's a bad deal.....

Camping cages is cheap, but no rules are being broken and there's no cheating. If it's allowed to happen, people will do it. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Complain enough and eventually it'll get changed, maybe for better, maybe for worse, who knows.

Odds are they pissed you off because they outplayed you in some way? They either blinded you or stunned you or sabo'd a hook before you could get to it. It's a game if you're mad at it and have to prevent someone else from playing to feel better or win that says something.

I meant if you're face camping in general. I forgot that segment and only remembered the intent.

Also with things like Dying light or gens being spaced out or people not knowing maps? you can very easily lose to face camping. Especially to a killer with one-shots.

Dying Light does almost nothing if a Killer face-camps their first down, they'll get 2-3 Tokens at most.
Being camped to death while 3 other Survivors escape isn't a loss, it's a win.

What you're talking about are skill issues and Survivors being bad at the game, so my point of "Losing against a face-camping Killer means the Survivors were bad" still stands

Unless you're that survivor and then it's of course a loss. Just because the killer doesn't win doesn't mean you didn't lose.
Also you can easily face camp 2 people out of the game before all 5 get done. it happens ALL the time. It doesn't matter if you're good or not you can get one-shot or caught off guard.
You're not telling me anything by saying it's winnable against. I KNOW it is. I've done it a dozen times. I also know it's still very easy to lose it..
It shouldn't be as effective as it is. Point - blank - period. Nothing, NOTHING you can say will change my opinion because the stats speak for themselves.
