There is literally no reason to not do this. It's information swf already have and would allow the devs to change information perks with more interesting effects.

    That’s what they announced there kind of doing there adding icons to survivors portraits so it shows what actions there doing. It’s probably not coming this year cause it wasn’t on the road map

    What they announced isn't a ping system. Just an icon saying that claudette is self-caring doesn't really help much when it comes to coordinating a play or a save. Plus, a ping system in addition to having their actions on their portrait would make the game way more interactive for solo q players. Pretending that it's not okay to tell your team the killer dropped the chase is disingenuous when swf teams will have that information regardless, so why not just make it a new aspect of the game?
