In spite of the welcome additions to the base kit deterring tunneling one could argue that camping has actually found its efficacy indirectly increased (90 repair time and faster basic attack recovery). Neither change are directly attempting to aid camping and come with a variety of benefits in and of themselves; so rather than revert these, introducing more deterrents could be the solution.

  • While a Survivor is hooked: Revealed the Killers aura within 24m of that hook and pause entity progression. Disabled upon the gates being powered or another Survivor entering the range.

This would considerably reduce Survivor frustrations, but would also inject a noticeable amount of power into Survivors. That being the case, more power would be inserted into the Killer’s base kit as well to accommodate such a dramatic change.

  • 10 seconds after hooking a Survivor gain a 20% Haste Status Effect for the next 10 seconds. Disabled upon using your power, injuring a Survivor, or being within 24m of a hooked Survivor.

These proposals may not be to one’s particular preference, but that’s precisely what discussion is for. There are a myriad of ways that strength can be placed into the Killer’s kit after all. Faster vault speeds, regressing gates, etc. etc.. The crux of this is to remove a common player frustration that has existed for years regardless of how it may buff Survivors, because Killers can be naturally buffed alongside any change to Survivors.
