In spite of the welcome additions to the base kit deterring tunneling one could argue that camping has actually found its efficacy indirectly increased (90 repair time and faster basic attack recovery). Neither change are directly attempting to aid camping and come with a variety of benefits in and of themselves; so rather than revert these, introducing more deterrents could be the solution.
- While a Survivor is hooked: Revealed the Killers aura within 24m of that hook and pause entity progression. Disabled upon the gates being powered or another Survivor entering the range.
This would considerably reduce Survivor frustrations, but would also inject a noticeable amount of power into Survivors. That being the case, more power would be inserted into the Killer’s base kit as well to accommodate such a dramatic change.
- 10 seconds after hooking a Survivor gain a 20% Haste Status Effect for the next 10 seconds. Disabled upon using your power, injuring a Survivor, or being within 24m of a hooked Survivor.
These proposals may not be to one’s particular preference, but that’s precisely what discussion is for. There are a myriad of ways that strength can be placed into the Killer’s kit after all. Faster vault speeds, regressing gates, etc. etc.. The crux of this is to remove a common player frustration that has existed for years regardless of how it may buff Survivors, because Killers can be naturally buffed alongside any change to Survivors.

That wouldn't fix camping since killer will wait outside of 24m or camp the hook if the entity progress continues due to a survivor hiding somewhere in the range.
Some maps are also designed in such a crappy fashion that camping is better than chasing down a survivor.

This wouldn’t fix camping in its entirety, no.
However, these changes would effectively remove face camping from existence. And open opportunity for additional changes.

”Never” is a bit absurd to say.
There simply needs to be a variety of restrictions or caveats to the effect. Such as other Survivors in range trying to unhook in front of the Killer with no consequence. In that situation the effect should probably be disabled, as mentioned in the post.
There may need to be a decent amount of conditions that would disable the pause which may take a few attempts.
However, considering the potential to virtually remove face camping from existence, it should be looked into.

"20% haste but gets disabled if you use your power" so screw ghostface ig? So is he supposed to hook and then just not use night shroud, walk for 10 seconds and then use it? I don't think the power should matter.

Good luck with the 24 meter radius on some indoor maps. Whole sections covered through walls, ceiling and floor. Boon problem on multiple floors all over again.

Perhaps it could have an exception for non lethal powers.
However the restriction is intended to prevent something like light speed Bubba chainsaws.
