Hawkins was not a bad map
It just needed to be bigger.
Add 1 or 2 more corridors and it becomes a pretty balanced map if survivors play it good.

I can't tell if your being serious or joking because Hawkens was a horrible map
24 -
It was horrible because it was too small.

I really like Hawkins, but I will admit it had a lot of worthless pallets.
I never understood killers other than maybe blight complaining about it though
5 -
As much as I liked Hawkins aesthetically, no indoor map has ever been good in DBD.
I'd say they're getting better, but the last one was RPD
19 -
It was only good map for Stealth killers.
Any killer with any fun power (aka billy chainsaw, blight rush, oni rage, etc.) was ruined here even more than maybe any other indoor map.
Also I am glad it was removed before boons were a thing because I bet some Survivors would abuse them like they do with RPD offerings to set up ultimate doom for the killer.

Honestly, my opinion is that lerys is one of the most balanced maps in dbd

I liked Hawkins. I miss it.

I liked Hawkins how it was, I don't even think it needed to be bigger tbh.
I hope that it either comes back or they recreate the layout on some other new map.

This.
Although I would gladly have Hawkins back if RPD or Midwich got booted out.
Hawkins was not THAT bad. The second floor could've been bigger and more relevant other than a gen and safe zone for healing.

A lot of powers dont work on hawkins. Huntress, slinger, hillbilly(espicially now). You have zero indication how gens are progressing without being right next to them.
Yes stealth killer could be solid but otherwise it was a awful map because you could never effectively use 90% of the killers power rooster.
You forgot the new version of gideon meat plant. No the devs are absolutely awful at map design. Someone seriously needs to have a talk with them over these god pallet plagued maps. Then they make them giant so half of the low mobility killers have zero agency. No crap killers will camp there not gonna cross a map to arrive with the gen done and the hooked person unhooked and healed before the next chase even starts.

RPD's bottom floor lobby area is the best part of the map.
And that's saying a lot lol

"A lot of powers dont work on hawkins. Huntress, slinger, hillbilly(espicially now)"
This is exactly why I hate lery's.

As a blight billy and wraith main yes it was and it was good for wraith but I still hated that map. Not the worst indoor map but that's a low bar to clear.

Hawkins wasn't just bad because of its size. Hawkins had a terrible layout with most of the pallets being worthless and almost all of the vaults also being worthless unless you happened to be running Balanced Landing, which almost nobody used outside of pairing it with an offering for Haddonfield.
1 -
Long, winding, difficult to find the gens, lots of useless pallets, lots of safe pallets, shuts down like half the killer powers, impossible to just get to any gen in a reasonable amount of time, can't use crows or line of sight for basically anything
Map had its appeal, but it sucked.

It was a bad map for killer. Literally just play with survivors who knew how to run it. God pallets, long loops, easy map splits, unpatrollable exit gates, etc.
1 -
Hm i remember being under the impression that the majority of pallets were garbage. and the one god pallet that i remember is only a god depending on the side the killer is on
1 -
I wouldnt say "good" - it was an indoor map after all.
But for indoor map standarts, ye it was pretty good. A LOT better than current Gideon or RPD at least.
Plus I still think it was a lot better for Survivor than many gave it credit for. Yeah you couldn't loop any individual pallet, but you had like 50 and could easily chain them together to create some really good loops.

It was one of the few maps in which I didn't like to play either of the two roles.

Hawkins was only good for one thing: Pallet-breaking Challenges. Because there were tons of it and most of them did not need to be broken in a chase.
Other than that, it was a horrible map. As Survivor, you have to hope for the Stun, otherwise you are dead. And depending on the Killer it could be really a pain to play on because you might not even really be able to use your power (e.g. it felt like whenever I wanted to play Billy, I ended up on Hawkins).

A really nice map. I want it back!

The Map was terrible gameplay wise

It was terrible

Any map that has zero grass, I do not like :p
2 -
You could say the same about the game.
On 1 hand is good for killer because its small, the other hand is bad because it has a lot of pallets

Myers was scary on this map. I remember spawning on the top floor once and I swear he must have spawned up there with me because I'd barely began to move when I heard his breathing. He had scratched mirror too, so that was fun.

I agree it wasn’t a bad map, but don’t see why you think it needed to be bigger? It had the most unique aesthetics and tiles we’ve ever gotten (I can still chuckle thinking about those tubes!). And it was certainly more bearable than any other indoor map released.

I never had issues with Hawkins (well, beyond the typical complaint that several killer powers don't really work in indoor maps), and I miss the drop-down and all the stealthy antics it enabled, but it would have been a very annoying boon map.

Play Blight.
Get Hawkins/RPD.
Enjoy.

The map is coming back!

It was a fun map. I don't know why they didn't just reskin it

As someone who actively played both sides, I loved Hawkins. It was my favorite map overall. A game on Hawkins could go either way at any point no matter how well you were doing, so getting overconfident could make you lose on this map more than any other. Also, it is one of the only maps where mindlessly gen-rushing or insta-throwing pallets was NOT going to help you win faster. You were forced to play smarter. For example, if you leave the upstairs gen and portal room gen for last...it will be very difficult for the killer to stop the last gen from finishing. If either of these gens are done before there is 1 gen left, then the survivors lose their late game advantage.

I hope it is true and we are getting ST back - with Hawkins.
I always liked the map.
Petition is at 39.043 right now.
And season 4 was fantastic.

It was a good map, you'll get alot of hate about it though because the map massively separated people skill.
It was indoors so it hurt nurse, blight etc. Had a single layout making it easy to remember, had the most pallets in any map.
Most survivors just hated it because pallets werent safe and that's why it separated loads of players. It still had a few safe pallets and 1 god pallet (from one side).
I miss it as both roles

My main issue with Hawkins was at time indoor maps having more performance issue for me than outdoor, but since graphic rework it's not just an indoor map issue now. Outside performance issues I enjoyed that map.

If only we could create our own maps (which, sadly, wouldn't go well because people would abuse it 100%), but I personally liked Hawkins, but that's mainly because of the ways the map looked, not the gameplay itself.

Decent Map still not as FUN as OLD Lery's. I'd give half of the Maps away just to get Old Lery's back and the other half to get a Trickster dedicated Map.

Old Lery's was pretty bright (for me at least.)

Hawkins was one of the best maps they ever created. Then Netflix killed it and left us with farm maps, Suffocation Pit and Gas Haven, just wonderful.

I liked it for doing jump scare Mikey. Other than that it was terrible.

I LOVE scratched Mirror Myers. great add-ons.

I kind of liked the map, even as Nurse as I had spent countless hours learning it.
It certainly didn't need to be bigger though. Big maps are the worst.

Lots of safe pallets? Were we playing in the same Hawkins? There were like two actually safe pallets in the whole map

Or Mother's Dwelling, Crows, ...

good ones. I mainly named RPD because of hallways.

Yeah, I still get lost sometimes despite having played a lot in it. So many survivors are trying that RPD offering with boon at the top of the library crap (and bleeding out for it).
