That's not a default thing. Though survivors in dream world do have an outline so they are easier to see, but that's a minor thing unless you happen to be facing survivors trying to hide in bushes.

Probably the biggest perceived problem with Freddy is that his snares and pallets don’t work on survivors who are awake, so getting the initial hit on survivors to force them to be asleep and vulnerable to them can be tricky against good survivors since he’s a powerless basic attack killer in those chases. It’s a bit like how Oni is essentially a powerless killer in a chase at the start of the match, except the difference with Oni is that once he gets a couple of hits and can use his power his power is MONSTROUS! Freddy though gets essentially just somewhat easier chases after he hits a survivor the first time so the payoff isn’t as big.
Honestly if it weren’t for Freddy’s teleport giving him improved mapwide mobility and pressure he’d probably be considered the worst killer in the game at the moment. And I say that as someone that actually enjoys playing Freddy using fake pallets, I think his kit is fun but he could probably use a small buff. 🙂

I agree, Freddy's ability to teleport to gens can be super oppressive paired with the right perks, he is far above a lot of the other killers

To be fair Clown has some pretty bloody great addons to help him out, aside from the obvious like the pinky finger flash of bleach makes his slow stronger and cigar box is still pretty hilarious when survivors don't realize you're running it since you can effectively weed out people hiding nearby you. Also Clown's bottle are way easier to use, don't slow you down and cover a huge area if thrown up high. Freddy's snares tend to have this really annoying thing where they'll snap onto terrain and if you're around on some loops it'll snap onto spots that you don't want them to be and you're stuck fumbling around for a few seconds to get it right which is really, really annoying.

But thats his only real weapon. Freddy lives from perks more than other killers.
He needs an Addon-Pass AND a better Dreamworld.
If u would make an opinion poll, which killer needs an Addon-Pass, I think Freddy would be Nr. 1.

he is very boring to play against and with but he is far from weak, i can't tell you how many times i caught people with fake pallets (honestly i never play with his core power) but he is like most killer he falls into the M1 category

No slowdown add ons combined with perks = Bad killer
Before the nerf: "Freddy S tier killer right below Nurse."
They played forever Freddy and every game lasted 15-20 mins. Like, if you can't kill survivors in 15-20 mins you're bad. But yeah, Freddy S tier.
After the add on nerf: "Nah, Freddy D tier."

He has no addons besides the Paint Brush, no good Antiloop/Chase-Ability and his Dream Projection gets weaker every gen is repaired.
He needs buffs, there is no questions about it.

I really don't understand why ppl complain so much about Freddy, the best sensation on dbd is to down a survivor in a fake pallet 😎

I completely agree about the pallet part. Dream Pallets are his only redeeming quality. And you need to waste an addon to use them.
His teleport has such a rediculous cooldown, that gets progressively weaker as the game goes on.
His dream world is somewhat meaningless. Passive sleep is boring. Every part of his kit is done better by other stronger killers.
Maybe if you could use both Pallets and snares things would be better? Or maybe if he had stronger chase power while people were asleep? I don't know.
