I love playing the artist!
Im having so much fun with this killer probably like never before, i never go against her when playing survivor literally maybe 1 in 100 matches i can run into her. I don't understand why only so few people play her imo she's strong and extremely fun to play.

The Artist is the best designed range attack killer in my opinion. I dont know why so many people dislike her :(

Yeah I got into her recently and she's my most played killer atm. I think most people trying her don't put in enough time figuring out long-distance or staggered hits which are the most fun part by far
Tracking and shutting down loops are also useful but less interesting.

Probably because her only viable counter is shift w. And using her as killer is stupidly dull.

Then you didn't play against the artist I played against last night. She used a combo that I never thought of and she was getting downs and injuries with her crows left and right. SHIFT W only played into her hands

I wish I did too.

Yes she is a very fun killer to me as well but so many people disagree. I’m glad someone else is having fun.

Was unfortunate her nerf, overrated and dull killer with easy predropping and holding w counter, but with pyramid head is even worse and weaker

i had a moment reading this

A moment of sadness, remembering how great artist was on the ptb

Wasn't it just like one nerf tho
0 -
Running into a bird while you were swarmed did damage instead of resetting the timer. It really wasn't necessary or a big deal to lose
0 -
yeah exactly isnt much of a deal imo

Glad to see someone else like me who actually likes her

Was a big one nerf and sad.

a good artist can still destroy tho

With bad survivors and without experience, yes, hold w is OP on her and on pyramid is even more

Yeah true she is definitely more challenging against good survivors, but before the nerf it was quite easy to create scenarios for the survivors where they literally couldn't do anything without being injured which is not a vibe

She was too strong on the ptb; it was a good nerf. She’s fine now and still easily an A tier killer
2 -
A killer being strong is a good vibe, ptb artist was still possible to win but required actual skill, but nothing to be done, she already got nerfed and its over

Killer being strong is not a problem, requires the survs more skill to play against instead of the usual braindead counterplays

Artist is cool, unique and strong.
I like to play as her and againts her. When I hear the crows when the match starts as Survivor I am like "hell yea lets goo".

Hold W, reach loop, put down crows, see survivor is leaving, hold w, hit with basic attack, reach new loop, put down crows, sees survivor is leaving, hold a, hit with basic attack.

I will admit, I hadn't really played her all that much after her release (and not at all because I didn't like her, it was there were other killers I was wanting to play more of at the time like Twins, Huntress, Trickster, and my comfy main Trapper), but I got the itch to play her again this week, and I just ADORE her. I know Dead Man's Switch has been popular with her, but I currently don't have that on her just yet...but the Entity was kind enough to give me BBQ and I'm All Ears on her bloodweb, and I kinda like Zanshin Tactics on her too, not gonna lie (tried it out on a build and it vibed with me).
Also...her Twisted Masquerade Mask is just *chef's kiss*

She require skill, but kids like more "mechanical-friendly" killers to chase 1 survivor. But I agree, she is great!

What I think is nice about Artist is that it shows the devs are still looking to create new & unique killers to appeal to a wider audience. The Artist is by far the first ranged-reconnaissance killer in the game and even if you don't like playing her you have to admit the devs are thinking outside the box

I also love her, she is my second main after trickster

I might play her if her squawking was toned down.

She is my First proper Main since she came out from December i believe, Love her to bits with the Theme, Playstyle and Kit. And i'm so stoked she got chosen for a cool upcoming community skin. I find it refreshing not being restricted to M1's, That i can be equally deadly at mid to long range and close range scenarios, while also having the ability to chase and injure multiple survivors simultaneously. As a former Twins player, i regret nothing. XD
The masquerade mask really is a game changer for her right now too XD

artist works the best with dead mans switch

It wasn’t a big nerf. It was absolutely justified and she’s still incredibly strong without that BS.

While that's true currently, in the upcoming patch probably less so with the Pain Res change, and by the time she's swarmed and chased someone off a gen, you'd be lucky to block more than 1 for 30 seconds. Still good though but i'd probably opt for Overcharge and Eruption instead myself. Maybe throw in Agitation and Gift of pain or Pentimento and Plaything for additional slow down that works with it.

Oddly enough, many consider her to be boring and super strong at the same time. I just wonder why so few play her when she's so super strong and easy to play... [Spoiler alert: You cant neither play her braindead nor is she too strong] I still remember Freddy's rework. Freddy was easy to play and way too strong. That's why he had a very high pick rate for a long time. But not The Artist.
At the end of the day, I don't care if she's popular or not as long as the devs don't change her (Maybe some addon changes, but not basekit). I mean I play a lot killers u rarely face in DBD (e.g. Wraith, Myers, Twins, Doctor, Billy, Clown). If they're not played too often, there's less risk of them being nerfed either 😂
