New Killer Idea: The Lurch
Power: Catharsis
Press and hold the Power Button to summon and project Darkness. The longer the Power Button is held; the further the Darkness shall travel, up to a maximum of 20 metres. Release the Power Button to teleport to the Darkness. After teleporting to Darkness, a 1 second window opens in which The Lurch can perfrom Cartharsis. Use the Attack button to perform Catharsis on a survivor. Successfully performing Catharsis will cause the respective survivor to become Malificent and The Lurch will return to his original form at the point of Catharsis. Failing to perform Catharsis on a survivor will teleport The Lurch back to his original location and inflict a 2 second fatigue duration.
Performing Catharsis on a Malificent survivor will cause the survivor to lose a health state.
Special Ability: Expulsion
Press the Active Ability button to perform Expulsion. All Malificent survivors within The Lurch's terror radius immediately lose a health state, lose their Malificence and trigger killer instinct for 5 seconds. Expulsion cannot be performed within 32 metres of a hooked survivor.
____________
The idea behind this killer is to incorporate many different aspects to killer (information, movement, map pressure) into one fast-paced mix. The projection of Darkness (rather similar to the Nurse) allows The Lurch to quickly teleport to mid-ranged distances, and Catharsis rewards The Lurch for accurate teleportation, whilst inaccurate teleportation is quite severely punished. As The Lurch inflicts Catharsis on survivors, he is rewarded with the choice to either use a strong teleportation anti-loop mechanism, or inflict devastating damage across large ranges (which comes with the consequence of survivors losing Malificence). The Lurch may start a trial with little to offer, yet using his power valuably would build him into a vicious threat.
____________
The ideas (so far) for lore are:
Puritan England, 1630.
The Lurch is a Priest who became obsessed over the Darkness of the other side. Secretly curious, he dabbed in paganism and witchery, yet his secret was soon discovered and he was permanently kicked out of The Church. Plagued by guilt and being shamed by the village, he performed catharsis on himself to try and extract the Darkness he had embraced, yet this only caused him to realise his evil even more. He committed ** in a hope to expel the darkness and gain forgiveness from his god; yet he was sent to hell. Infuriated by the rejection he had received from the universe, he vowed revenge. A fog embraced him and he accepted his vengeance.

I'm getting some serious Pinhead vibes from this dude, but I do feel that this could be a bit much without some finer details.
-What is the range of Catharsis? Is it like a basic attack or like a Nemesis tentacle strike?
-How long does the Maleficent status last?
-Is there a teleport cooldown on successful Catharsis attacks?
-Is there a max range for Expulsion?
These questions really should be addressed because they hold a large weight on the balancing of this idea.

a) Catharsis is the same range as a basic attack.
b) Maleficent is a permanent status effect until removed by The Lurch.
c) Yes, to prevent spamming the power. However, it is not too long; perhaps 8-10 seconds.
d) My apologies, I forgot to specify that Expulsion only works within the terror radius. I have edited this now.
