I had a chest defender Bubba when i was trying to complete a chest tome challenge, and i only needed 1 more, and it was of course his one ha! he wouldn't trade it for anything, had to give up since he would do the same, down me and take me back upstairs. Although the other 3 survs spent the rest of the trial with him in basement getting downed and carried up again, i assume trying to steal the holy grail (unsuccessfully). i was the only one doing gens to open gates, returning to heal 3 downed survivors when needed lol.
If you want to de-rank, just play normally but don't sacrifice anyone with 3rd hook and left them all escape?

LMAO, I had the same thing happen to me a while back. It's almost like it's reverse psychology - you wanna derank, survivors/killers will do everything in their power to make sure you win. Funny to think about.

It does seem that way. Survivors begin to BEG for the chest once they realize you're guarding it.
(for anyone wondering I'm playing as Nemesis with coup de grace, noed, the pallet breaking perk from the dredge, and insidious).

Try to 2-hook everyone. They'll most likely escape or you can subtly throw towards the end to make sure they do. They may not even notice that you're throwing and still call you a sweaty ######### at the end. Plus everyone still gets high scores.
If you want them to escape... why the hell are you running NOED? You're basically guaranteeing at least a 1k.

As I mentioned earlier, I want to give a legitimate experience to the people I'm facing. I prefer to lose but I don't want to outright throw.

If you want to lower your MMR just play without perks and addons. If you still win you shouldn't really be going any lower than that.

See, that just gives gimmick games a bad name. I sometimes run goofy gimmick games just to have fun and see who I can get to play along. Like Santa's Helper Clown with Franklin's. When I knock an item out of your hand I stop chase and dance around the item throwing bottles at it until it's gone. Sometimes I get a group that ceases to care about gens and they focus only on retrieving the item. The goal is to get all the items before they escape. Then I thank the players for their donations to Santa's toy bag.
There have been a lot of fun matches with this. No derank intent, just fun.
