If you're sick and tired of the camping and tunneling
Just ######### play immersive. Seriously. Go back to how DBD was initially played and we can see how the killers like it. I cannot for the life of me understand how it's getting worse and worse. I play Killer and pressure the entire map. Usually get 2-3 kills. I don't try to go for 4 kills. But all these people do lately when I play survivor is either camp, tunnel, or return to a hook to guarantee a hit on the saver. It's ridiculous. You don't wanna deal with this. Just start playing hide and seek and see how much they like it.

You sound like someone who doesn't play killer to me.

I would if Behaviour wasn’t so dead set on removing stealth play from the game.
The upcoming nerf to Spine Chill is like the final nail in the coffin (though I will try going back to premonition) for stealth. The abundance of aura reading perks doesn’t help the situation either.
Im patient enough to wait and see how things play out after the next patches release. But with how things are going, I’ll probably take a vacation from gaming in general and go back to learning how to digitally paint instead.

>playing immersed

Distortion bud. And new Distortion recharges. Plus Shadowstep. kek

I don’t like using perks with limited uses, which is why I never got Distortion, but will after then patch and see how it goes.

It's not deflection, it's a reasonable assessment. I hook a survivor BBQ shows me 0 auras I have a 3 gen and the other gens are literally up to 20 seconds away.
I'm not giving up my pressure to chase shadows get out of here.
14 -
why ? he's right unless I'm losing hard I try to hook everyone once I always run bbq anyway, when I switch side I keep playing against idiots who can't leave their first hook (even at 5 gens doesn't matter), it's way too rewarding for a zero skill strat it's boring
would be nice if people stop defending facecamp so hard, you really suck if you need to camp every match to secure kills
3 -
what game are you guys playing where you get camped and tunnelled every game?
3 -
That's your opinion. Camping and tunneling are legit strategies, like it or not. Killers don't have to play by the survivors rules. If survivors can gen rush, why can't killers secure their kills?
2 -
Apparently, now predicting when a survivor is going to save and returning to the hook to prevent it is also toxic.
0 -
So you put yourself in a ######### situation to begin with by not flocking them into a 3 gen lock, using Thana, overall stopping and at said point you're going to camp because you more or less lost that for yourself? Got it. THAT is a reasonable assessment
See. You don't learn to play better. You fall back on camping because you failed to pressure overall, didn't peel when you should have, etc. I guarantee you you get blood raged and tunnel that one dude who's been juicing you instead of going to stop the others from doing things. Also, lookie here. You just said you fall back and rely on BBQ. Imagine. Stop relying on such a ######### perk. Use ######### like Dead Mans and Scourge Hooks to knock them off and show you where is being worked on what.
You're falling back on relying on perk information instead of actively gaining information yourself or knowing hey, they aren't working on this gen close to me. They are over on those other two. But they are "20 seconds" away and isntead of pressuring those i'll just sit here and not let this person play the game. Therefore allowing the others to escape in the process. THIS is why Killers complain about "Gen rushing" so much
0 -
Killers can see you at the beginning of the match, when they hook someone, when you’re near a totem, when they open a closet, when you go out from a closet, when you are healing, when you’re the obsession, when a gent is finished, when they hit someone, when you are working in a gen,... and you want to play immersive?
2 -
Unfortunately, what you're advocating for is a game state where survivors always have to gen rush, and killers should always tunnel/camp.
That way, both sides are getting shafted.
4 -
Perk shaming because I made the best choice at the time with my given resources?
Weak. Tunneling and camping exists all the way up to comp. It's existence precedes you, and it appears that it will proceed you as well.

"Survivors can gen rush"
Why do all ######### killers use this miserable excuse. That's the ONLY objective the survivors have when spawning in. Period. You have 4 people to thwack around. But you choose one person and go full monkey brain chasing and when 3 gens pop because of it, all of a sudden you were "Gen Rushed".
3 -
And killers only objective is to kill survivors and guess what tunneling and camping accomplish.
0 -
Distortion (now buffed to recharge the spent charges) and Shadowstep are a thing. Which prevents literally everything you just said except for like 2.
0 -
"Best choices at the time"
Lets stop pretending you don't have anything better than BBQ. You rely on that information. We can stop now
0 -
And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with gen rushing. I just think complaining about camping and tunneling doesn't make any sense.
0 -
Yet they complain about "Gen Rushing" when they are getting slammed on Gens because they don't spread the pressure equally. Imagine.
0 -
I gave you one extremely common example, if you require more then that is a personal problem.
0 -
With how many aura reading perks and addons there are for killers, as well as stealth options for numerous killers, immersive isn't really viable. Distortion and Shadowstep won't be enough unless you're going against a bad killer. Even with Distortion's upcoming buff, tunneling and camping are receiving buffs several times more potent in the same patch.

You sound really upset to me, the way you react to people that are just giving their opinion is also very aggressive imo. You really sound like you play killer just for daily challenges or the rift. I could be wrong but you sound like you have no idea what it's like to play killer against good survivors. That's why this is my last message here btw. Camping and tunneling are legit strategies which you can like or not. Survivors don't have to make the game fun for the killer and the killer doesn't have to make the game fun for the survivors, remember that!

Yes, 3 times

Having Tier 3 BBQ out of all perks requires you to not only have the DLC for said perk, but to go out of your way at this point to level up to that and then get it on the killer you're wanting it on, either avoiding all other perks that are useful or looking over everything else because you want said free information. If you fail to see this, it might be for the reason you told me. Which seems to be that way. But lets not pretend that anything that was said about said situation that you proposed was wrong. You not only put yourself into said gen situation at that point. But you clearly know the gen you're by isn't being worked on. So clearly the other 2, one of them, is. Which would take you running halfway there to hear progression and pressure. But at which point you aren't. Then are complaining that you got rushed or that they were a toxic swf. W/e insert excuse here is because you couldn't be bothered at the end of the day.
HOWEVER besides the point. Lets also ignore the fact that we aren't talking about a 3 gen situation. This is happening at 4-5 gens remaining. Consistently. ANd is being brought up and talked about on this forum, reddit, and on Steam discussions. So it's not isolated incidents.

Reached rank 1 years ago within a month with dog water perks using multiple killers. Back when rank actually matched you with people that should be in those levels. To which i'd give you my profile to check out, but i'm not about to flag my profile for trolls to go post on.

Actually it's 4 times. It's 3 if the killer has Lethal Pursuer on and a charge is used at the start. However, after the next patch, you gain charges back indefinitely.
- Distortion: Gain one Distortion token for every 30 seconds spent within the Killer’s Terror Radius.
And Shadowstep can keep being put up. Which blocks not only scratches but also auras.
Also Gens block auras too when you are out of charges.

I have been playing this game for years and I can tell you the best strategy against campers and tunnelers is run toward them, point at the hook and let them kill you immediately. You don’t need to play with people like that. Also you’ll have a lot of fun, most of them don’t know what to do
4 -
Honestly, hide and seek is always better as long as you can do gens at same time.
1 -
Personally I hate killers who camp survivors on hooks. It's my least favorite thing that happens to me as a survivor main. I get it that killers can be hard to play but that is no excuse for camping someone just to get that one person out and give everyone else an easier match by doing so. There should be a penality for camping a survivor like how they keep u from playing the game for 5 mins when u leave a match before it's done. But they will likely never do that even thou killers who camp a survivor on a hook make the game alot less fun to play for that person.
0 -
Literally this. I keep hearing how killers are doing this, but I don't buy it. Camping is a losing strat unless survivors are exceptionally altruistic, and tunneling, while annoying, still hurts the killer since they're committed to that survivor until they tunnel them out. By that time, 2-3 gens should be done, easily.

You can't fight fire with fire.
Honestly, just move on to the next game or play at a diff time of day! The difference that the latter makes might really surprise you.
0 -
I'm still trying to figure that out
0 -
i rarely ever get camped or tunneled, except when it makes sense. dont know what they are doing to get themselves camped every game
0 -
Best thing you can do is loop them as good as you can or at least that's always been my way of thinking. A good killer who knows how to detect a good looper will leave because they know a good survivor who knows how to loop can loop them for the entire match and a bad killer will stay on you...loop them well and it will cost them all 5 gens, even if you die the rest of the team gets out and the killer doesn't get the last laugh. When I get camped I stay on the hook until the last second to give my teammates time to finish the remaining gens, hopefully they have enough time to finish them...
0 -
If you "spread" the pressure, the match will end with 8 hooks and 0 kills. Imagine!
0 -
I mean I play both sides. So I understand the pressure of playing killer too.
For me camping and tunneling is actually lame when it happens at the start of the game.
I do not excuse camping on 5 gens.

I'd take an immersive game of hide and seek over obnoxious in your face cocky survivors any day.

Really? xD

Devotion 4, almost 5 ... It's what ... 1000 hours maybe? I didn't find a single killer game but the survivor build matches with what you suggest. So, not exactly a noob but far from being a veteran either. This is consistent with the suggestion but not the tone used in some of your replies.
You may have guessed right.
