Tips please

I main hag (for the purpose of this post don't tell me to just switch characters I want actual tips) Let's say you get a giant spread out map that only has 1-2 gens in the corner you spawn in, but on the entire other side of the map there are like 6 that all immediately get rushed. You know by the time you get there half of them will be 99'd and you can't lay out traps for the 2 on your original side cause they won't even go near those gens . Do I just chase them and accept the L for that match?

Don't go looking for a chase at the start of the match, look for the three gens that are closest to one another and set your web of traps around it. You have already lost the match if you get pulled into long chases with Hag, she does best when you make use of her traps and control a specific area.

If the survivors start off near the three gen cluster and the other ones are too far apart, then you're kinda pigeon holed into playing as an M1 killer and would need to think about tunneling out the weakest survivor asap.

Best advice I can give you is to look up Michi on YouTube, he's one of the best Hags out there.

Finally, if you ever see a Huge Bush during your matches, please be gentle and only place one trap at my hook and not ten.

Corrupt Intervention. Pick a side of the map and stay on it the entire game.

Hag is all about traps and snowballing. Don’t freak out too much about losing gens. The only ones that matter for her are the ones that are part of her setup webs.

I'd definitely go about it the same way you would with Trapper. Set-up everything at the start of the match and wait for things to snowball in your favour at mid-end game.

Corrupt and Iron Grasp would be great, maybe even Blood Warden?

Outside of delaying perks like corrupt a bad gen layout is going to make setting up your web hard.

You can try and find a good 3 gen but when the layout doesn't lend itself to it, you either gotta dash over and try to stake out the gens early and lay out a web of traps if you can and then hope they didn't get to complete in the beginning.

You can also switch it up a bit to a anti loop kind of strat were lay a small web of traps through good loops and then target the nearest gen being worked on. Herd survivors toward those loops and then trap and proxy the hooks you get.

You're never really staking out one set up area rather you a proactively laying down a few key traps before each chase. Try and lay down a couple of traps and then circle around and come at the gen from the other side so they survivor heads toward the traps not away. Hard to do sometimes.

This scenario requires traps = hits and if you miss a couple you'll need to drop chase and set up and re-pressure the gen again.

Corrupt Intervention/Agitation/Shattered Hope are the three perks I run most frequently on Hag. The skill cap on Hag is learning every map and being able to set up quickly. It takes time.

I have areas on each map that I like to set up. Obviously some maps are much more preferable than others. Always try to identify the closest 4 gens. Build a web around that. Hide traps in grass if possible and remember that they don't need to be directly in the path of a survivor. They have a trigger radius. Slightly off to the side in grass is always better than out in the open if it'll get set off either way.

Make use of Agitation to hook inside the area you're protecting. You don't have to take the closest available hook. Don't commit too many traps around the hook. One in the general area is all you need. Even better if you trapped the hook earlier when you were setting up your web.

The Mitchi guide on YouTube should be your first priority watch. It will provide you with trap placement ideas that can make any map a dangerous place for survivors without flashlights.

I play her a little differently than standard as I do not run gen slowdown and instead focus on anti-heal and surprise.

Monitor and Abuse - Nurses - Sloppy - BBQ used to be used as the fourth pick but after the patch, I will likely run Clourphobia or Unnerving presence.

This build requires you to actively place traps in dead zones and to keep track of where survivors are healing. Monitor will allow you to approach before they realize you are there. Flashlights will make it harder but as long as you stay aggressive and keep them injured it usually works out.
