How many t3 perks to get p3?

I saw someone mention it but wanted to double check. Someone said that if you get 3 pages of t3 perks, you’ll get p3 on the update

To get P3 you need 170 total perk tiers.

3 pages of tier 3 perks would only be 135 perk tiers. 4 complete pages of t3 perks would be 180 tiers and would be enough for p3 after the update.

    Here's the breakdown:

    P1 for 70 -119 tiers

    P2 for 120 - 169 tiers

    P3 for 170 - 219 tiers

    P4 for 220 - 269 tiers

    P5 for 270 - 319 tiers

P6 for 320+ tiers (only survivor can have this many)

Also note that characters currently prestiged will get a bonus prestige level for each current level (so a current p1 would become p2, p2 would become p4, and p3 would become p6).

If you are a level 50 and have 70 perks unlocked does it just take you to prestige 1 level 1 or do you go to prestige 1 level 50?

I'm not 100% sure but I think you maintain whatever level you currently have so I think you would stay at level 50.

I wasn't able to do the PTB so I only know from patch notes and videos from content creators. Maybe someone who had access to the PTB can verify.

No. For example, Level 50 all perks with the new system is P6.

Prestige 3 with all perks in the new system would be P11 for killer and P12 for survivor (see videos from content creators showing the PTB - Paulie Esther has a good one). Each current prestige level earns a bonus prestige level (effectively doubling your prestige) then additional levels are awarded based on perk tiers.

The question we have is what level the character is on after the update. So a character at level 50 with 70 perk tiers and no prestige would be granted prestige level 1, but I'm not sure if they would stay at level 50 or be reset to level 1 (I think they stay at level 50).

I suppose things could change when the update goes live but this is how it was in the PTB.

Edit: Sorry, I misread your post. This is correct: All perks with no current prestige would be granted P5 for killer or P6 for survivor.

Yes, I have this question too. After we get our prestige catch-up, do we stay at the level we were at or do we start at level 1 of whatever prestige we get?

I have several characters with no prestige at Level 50 and 70 perks. If I do nothing else, after the update goes live, I should be at Prestige 1 for those characters, but is it Prestige 1 at Level 1 or Prestige 1 at Level 50 (the same level I was at before)? Because if it's Prestige 1 at Level 50, I can then spend another 50k bloodpoints to end up at Prestige 2 Level 1 immediately. However, if you only get Prestige 1 at Level 1, I might actually prefer to prestige those characters before the update because I would still end up at Prestige 2 Level 1 after the update (already at Prestige 1 plus one bonus prestige as the catch-up), but at least I would get the first bloody cosmetic.

    Thanks!

    They haven't said otherwise anywhere.

You want P3 patchday, your goal is 121 perk tiers for your character. That puts them at P2 level 50. When patchday lands, you prestige then to get P3.

Now, if you have a character that doesn't have much put into them and they are level 50, just prestige them. If they are P1, for patchday they will be P3 level 1.

You will lose all addon/items/perks, but you will gain their T3 perks for everyone else. Weight the trade off on your own. If you have a bunch of flan or 1000 add ons, maybe don't prestige now and just go for the 121 perk tiers.

I am fairly certain that you keep whatever your current level is. When I opened the PTB, all of my characters had varying prestige but all were level 50, which is where they were left.

The perk tier numbers are still accurate. Nothing has come out to contradict them.

The part of my post that is no longer accurate is how current prestige will translate. This week it was revealed that we will get two bonus prestige levels for each current prestige, so P1 will become P3, P2 will become P6, and P3 will become P9.

Also, the dev. update stated that the catch-up mechanic will cap everyone at P9, so regardless of current prestige or perk tiers, P9 is the highest you can get when the update happens.
