Why do they insult at the end of the game?
When I don't tunnel, don't do camping, don't play the strongest killer, don't use meta perks (which i have) at the end of the game I get insulted for not getting 4k... Then they complain about the nurses... :/ i try have fun... (sorry for the bad English)

You are just playing the role. It is best to not take it personally and just move on to the next match.

No need to be sorry but to answer your question survivors will always be survivors (not all of them, i have run into a few chilled players) if they lose they will insult you if you lose and they all get out same thing.
If need be turn off the chat window so you don't have to put up with the insults. if they are to bad i.e they turn them into racist comments then you can report them for it. Otherwise just leave the end screen and move onto the next match and hope you get better players.

Because they are nice people with empathy and understanding.
6 -
what kind of insults? if its ingame trash talk then theres nothing wrong.
everytime i run killer all game ill send a "gg ez" just for a light jab & nothing more.
if its slurs and of that nature then yes "insults" are bad and shouldnt be in any game community

if you kill some or 4k = tunneler/hacker/facecamper/whatever
if you dont = GGEZ/babykiller/git gud/whatever
of course, it's sad that it mostly is like that but for me, it's always amusing to see what they come up with 😂

Strong insults, no "gg ez"

Most online gamers are just donkeys for no reason other than to just be a donkeys.
If they could'nt communicate in chat, they'd just stand around inside the gate more being donkeys.
11 -
I lost to a SWF yesterday, and they had the audacity to tell me how I am a baby killer when I was purposely not hooking anyone to get my legion challenge done :') I don't understand survivors sometimes.
6 -
Because those peoples are just rude or salty, not all players are like that though.
4 -
Well…. At least pyramid is my second favorite killer
3 -
Learn your lesson: don't worry about slugging, tunneling or camping. You are not playing tag. You are not a babysitter. Your only task is to kill everyone : try your best to do it.
If you then decide to let the last one live, drop him yourself on the hatch.
Also don't worry about your English.
6 -
Just ignore them. It's nothing personal. They don't see you as a person, they see their idea of 'a killer' and what that should be.
Some people just like to take everything out on others, thinking that might make them less miserable (it won't).
4 -
either they are toxic and do not understand the game
or they hate their selves for playing this game for long time.
Either way be kind.Just rage quitte and uninstall if you want to be mean.
At least when I reached my tilt point that what I did.
Dbd has routed problems and they wont get solved by blaming other players.
If you think you've had of the game, dont play, for your own better mentality.
1 -
The answer is simple: these kind of survivors (not all of them, fortunately), are just [insert good insult here] who enjoy being able to taunt killers against whom they manage to get away, but who run to their mothers' skirts as soon as a killer takes over 🤔
The best thing to do is to ignore them 😉

I always GGWP the killers if they outwit me. No need to be a btch.
Now, if I get facecamped to death I will probably tell you to go sck a dck... no, jk haha but it kind of enfuriates me >_>
1 -
don't play by their rules, if you want camp do it, if you want tunnel do it, you payed for this game and you have the right to play how you want... honestly i just stopped to play chill and went full tryhard mode each match that i did since i'm always aganist people who want being pricks... the few time that i try to play "fair" i'm rewarded with disrespect and toxicity... they remember me why i switched my type of gameplay
1 -
I genuinely do not understand this "logic." But yeah, generally speaking... Randomly insulting your opponent is definitely a bad look and nothing that I would ever do because I am not a degenerate.
7 -
what logic??
0 -
That there is ANY need to rub salt into the wound.
They already lost and probably don't feel good at the moment, why in the ever loving fck is there any need to rub it in?
Graceful in Victory and defeat.
There is nothing to say for the victor to the loser that does not come across as belittling or condescending.
Even a GG wp after a total sweep is not necessary because it obviously wasn't a good feeling game for the loser. And the better option after such a game is saying nothing by reading the mood.
I also don't understand why people need a Chatfilter to be removed. What is it that they need to see other peoples spewed garbage.
10 -
have you ever played sports?? its trash talk.
plus why are people so sensitive playing ONLINE multiplayer games??
simple, just stick to single player if a "gg wp" or a "gg ez" can REALLY get you riled up.
edit: im sorry but you cant change my mind that ingame trash talk is fine, as long as its in the confines of the game and not a personal attack then all is fair especially if you lose. if you get salty or want to cry over it then by all means do it but theres nothing wrong or toxic about it.
0 -
You gg ez after a sports game? To someone's face? And then say "it's not personal" after insulting someone?
8 -
you shake hands right after dont you & say good game?? is this hysterical?
what part am i insulting someone?
am i reading this correctly that a "gg ez" and a "gg wp" is toxic?
0 -
You think gg ez isn't an insult, wow. Where is the rock you live under?
7 -
well obv you cant read tone off msg or text but its meant as a tease??
plus just disable chat, why even have the option to have players message you if a "gg ez" could be triggering??
0 -
Nope, death wishes and worse...
0 -
I do sport, Im a martial artist, and I treat my opponents with respect
6 -
wait your joking with me right...
its just good game easy?? theres another meaning to this??
im always out of the blue so please clue me in...
what belt??
and always treat everybody with respect but please clue me how "gg ez" is toxic i srsly dont know .-.
0 -
He already said he has a language barrier. What he meant was probably that he got death threats not just gg ez stuff.
And mocking someone for losing is toxic. You are disrespecting that person instead of being nice or not saying anything. You are insinuating that the person is terrible at the game and was easy to beat.
How is that not toxic?
3 -
You shake hands and say good game, yes - but you would never say, after a real life sports match, good game - you were so easy to beat!
3 -
so its a mocking phrase?? a degrading one at that? my question is how is it translated to all that from one phrase?
ive had girls on the other softball team that i would play back in hs & would always tease them that theyre bad & whoever won would rub it in but it was always competitive not disrespectful?? so sorry but my mindset comes from that and hope you can see why im confused to how its different in gaming.
0 -
That is real life and you played with people you know. They know you are not hating on them, just teasing.
In a video game you are interacting with a stranger (unless you kyf or know someone) through text. And also throwing a well known disrespectful phrase towards them. If they were your friend and know you are just teasing, that is fine, but stranger? -Nah.
And also he didn't meant gg ez means a death threat or whatever you are trying to say. He is just saying he gets death threats in end game chat. Literally.
5 -
Short answer: People are selfish, ignorant and bullying makes them feel good.
Sadly you are dealing with a lot of losers. Frankly if they had real lives they wouldn’t be so horrible to others (because they would have courtesy).
1 -
If a killer chases you the whole game they're a newer player. An experienced killer would either down you or break chase when they realise they can't.
So...good work shitting on players with much less experience I guess?
1 -
ok im starting to see where im wrong at...
im very sorry everyone on this thread for being absolutely oblivious to this, ill do better & thank you for explaining it to me.
i cant believe ive been using it wrong in gaming for 2 years now.. i feel bad and didnt know i was actually being toxic :((
and yeah death threats deserve a suspension or ban.
2 -
experienced killers can get ran too??
honey dont act like people with over 1000s of hours still dont do that or tunnel straight off the gates off of the first survivor they find.
0 -
I don't see killers with thousands of hours chase one survivor the whole game. Tunnelling yes, actively throwing in that specific way, no.
2 -
I mean you can say it if you want to but know that most people (strangers) won't feel thrilled about it. You are not making their day better for sure :D.
It is also not something you really have to say knowing that, but still, your choice.
I am perfectly fine with people playing how they want, I just don't think trash talking is necessary.
3 -
Because they are salty or feel that winning a match is brag-worthy while being carried by perks. Fortunately DS and DH got the deserved nerf for balance.
1 -
Okay, after reading your other replies i understand were you are coming from but what you always have to keep in mind with text only messages, people will nearly always assume the worst especially with such a widespread term that is negatively viewed by society.
Another aspect is that text messages are flat, there is no body language, no facial expression and no intonation to understand. All aspects that can switch the meaning of a phrase into the complete opposite.
The best example is written sarcasm, which basically NEEDS an indicator (/S on forums) because there is no sarcastic tone accompanying it to make the irony clear.
1 -
Hey, they finally got a win, they have to show it off as much as they can. Don't blame them.
0 -
Heh I feel for you, but yeah:
gg ez = "Haha, that was such an easy game for me, get better scrub"
gg wp = "Hey that was a fun game and you played well"
The first is a legit intended insult. The second, some people who are salty about losing will just feel even more so. Personally I don't care on the second. If someone is too insecure or sensitive or whatever to accept a handshake and an honest compliment, that's on them. Being a jerk and intentionally insulting someone with a "gg ez" is one thing, but slapping the hand of someone who say "gg wp" in offering a handshake in the spirit of good sportsmanship puts you on about the same level imo.
4 -
Chat filter needs to be fixed or removed because i cannot say stuff like town or iri. Thats why people dont like the chat filter.
0 -
yeah i get it now that its hard to express a tease or sarcasm.
i did not know it was so negative till multiple people on here were getting on me & i was on reddit for a good half-hour reading every topic and debate if gg ez is toxic or not. come to find out yes majority of people do say that and now i feel like an idiot ://
youre right.. it seems some reflection is on the horizon for me :]
3 -
yeah i did not know it goes to the degrading level otherwise i would never of type that..
and i take it "gg wp" is more better for good sportsmanship correct?
i honestly hate jerks & to find out i was being one...
"you either die or live long enough to see yourself become a villian" type moment.
and well i said i agree with your last statement!!
2 -
im the type to go to the eeeeeennnds of earth to get my point across if im right.
but if im wrong & proven wrong then no other way am i right??
some people argue just to argue but i dont see the point in that?
if im wrong then im wrong. simple as that :))
2 -
ggwp is totally fine :)
I like the change of mind :D
2 -
This is why I never like the "its just trash talk bro" argument. Many competitions both enforce and have a minimum expectation of respect, and even when they don't, you run the risk of getting knocked the hell out if you act disrespectful and show poor sportsmanship.
People do it because it has no risk and they're petty. Its literally because they couldn't get away with doing it in person.
2 -
You say "good game" after the handshake, yes. You don't say "Good game, that was easy."
0 -
I think this is a case where the anonymity of the internet gets people thinking they can be/get away with worse than they would try if face to face.
