Built in BT. A Killer Story.
Another pop in the distance causes my body to flinch and my determination to ignite.
Yet another failed investigation has left me desperate and wondering if I can fulfil the desires of my Lord.
I head back towards the worm that has been dangling ever tempting on my hook, I need a bite, but my approach must be swift.
I worry that I will scare my prey away before the temptation of my worm works it's charm.
A dash from the right towards my Worm, the bait has been taken!
My heart floods with lust, as I realize the moment favors me, my approach although early will see another fall.
The scars near my neck are a reminder that my greed will not always be forgiven by my Lord, and have taught me that I may nibble at my wounded little Worm once freed, using them to distract more potential prey, but to try and take another bite often leads to a painful dish.
Remorseless like the Spider to the Fly I lunge.
No... NO! How could I have been so foolish! So sloppy!
I thought I had observed all of the hopes my Lord had allowed them to face me with.
The thought crashes through me as my blade merely kisses my little Worm, and they vanish from my site.
I set off after the other, I can at least continue with my plan to make a new Worm a resident on my hook.
Weak but not dead, that's a relief, I was worried they would die once the hook tore through their exhausted flesh.
My mind still races, no one has shown to be favored by my Lord of this I am certain, my Lord knows my Worms will be left to wiggle once taken as bait, rather then be doomed to the hook immediately after their salvation from it.
What I do know is this, all of the others can Self remedy the wounds I inflict,
Crouch with the speed of Leopard, Run like a Cheetah driven by a cruel hunger, and all without uttering a word or a murmur, hope bestowed onto them by my Lord, hopeless hope.
They will come to free my new Worm but this is my desire, I know I can lay to the ground another one of them, another Worm for my hook, and the cycle repeats until the darkness engulfs them all, or fear drives them to save themselves.
They are here, all Three of them confidently approach for the final battle.
I see in the distance the now gaping mouth of freedom that was once the key to their imprisonment, now waiting to greedily swallow them all. A mouth I was sure I could keep shut.
They start prodding my steel, testing my composure, determination poised within their Eyes.
"Keep calm" my malevolent Lord whispers into my already tormented Ears. "For I have graced you with a blade as swift as a Hare, and Loyal, as you now are to me, you will serve me well in this final battle, and I will taste the despair of the doomed, and the guilt of the freed."
It happens in an instant, they set upon my prize like hungry Wolves.
I swing my blade with wild fury, the first hit is true, then the second lands before anyone can move, the chase is on, two of them have already made a dash for freedom they will like escape me for now but...but?
Something is wrong, I land my third hit, everyone is injured the train is in motion but the seating is wrong.
My Worm is lagging at the back, your friends risked themselves to free you from your fate.
I can't help my grin as I prepare to make their pain all for naught.
This is my chance, Three may live, but one will wallow in the company of the entity this evening!
My vision narrows, my grip tightens, knowing the entity shows no favor to these retches I raise my weapon and Lunge, bathed in the anticipation of the hit I almost miss my mark, but the splash of blood warms my face and heart, this one is mine.
A minor victory but a least it's, it's.. no, NO not again, my Lord favored me, I did all that was asked! Why has my Lord chosen to blunt my blade once again!
I was sure, so sure that one would fall, they had not the means to resist the sting of my blade.
I enter my Shack and slump into my chair, cursing my blade for betraying me.
A note I see lies waiting for me upon my table, maybe my malevolent Lord will clear the veil that distorts my soul?
Unfolding the note I begin to read with trepidation.
There before my spotted vision, my Lord reveals that the Worm has curried favor, and whether it be in the light of brilliance, or shambles, the Worm shall never feel the sting of my blade directly after salvation.
I guess it was my hope that quenched my Lords unyielding hunger this day.
The crackling warmth of the fire vanishes in a black haze, I now stand again in a familiar yet ever changing world.
I know what is expected of me and I know what I must do to Survive.
My heart begins to thump louder and louder, until the sound encompasses every one of my senses.
All I can do I gaze at the ever nearing movement in the Corn, knowing that with no wind in the air, it must surely be death that approaches me, and I am not ready to die, at least not yet...........

Hey.
Yeah I agree camping isn't always the right play, but it is sometimes a necessary evil in dire situations.
Thank you for reading though and giving an opinion, it's appreciated.
I should probably add that this is fiction, and is not from one of my games.
