Your missing that once it's activated, it'll reveal the location when within 4 meters of it and THEN after 30 seconds will reveal itself at 24 meters. Which imo is the perfect nerf for it. The biggest problem I had with NOED, was trying to find during it endgame not being able to and just leaving. Like ######### me for cleansing 3 totems and still not being able to find the last two and my teammate getting ######### by NOED.

It's not perfect by any means, but it's a decent change. At the very least it will make your solo teammates less likely to abandon you in the egc after NOED procs.

But tbh, I only die due to NOED once in a great while, and I never run it as killer, so I'm not terribly invested regardless.

It encourages killers with NOED not to just camp at endgame since your totem is almost guarenteed to get cleansed pretty quickly. It also gives solo survivors a much better chance of being able to deal with it and save.

And yet people still complain about a perk which on average gives less kills than when it isn't used :p

No, it's still equip to win. I would have loved to trade the complete removal of DH for a complete removal of NOED but since SWFs bully killers, I guess BHVR just decided to ruin SoloQ even more. Pretty good job so far!

So does DH, even after the nerf. If this blatant favorism doesn't convince you how survivor sided the devs are, nothing will.

After much talking and jabbering and promises DH was "nerfed" without nerfing it in any consequential way. It still got und same issues and still got the same problems, ie massively rewarding bad play on the survivors side.

Do a bad decision, do a bad play, get hit BAM! Power up and get rewarded for failing.

After this the killer is at the survivors mercy if they got more then 3 brain cells and are essentially immortal. The new DH is actually even better and more intuitive to use if you ever played a souls like in your life. Parry is second nature to most of us, and a 0.5s parry window is so blatantly OP that I don't know were to start explaining this. 2 frames of invulnerability are more then fair, anything more and it becomes literally brain dead. But yeah, survivor mains just need to moan a little bit and jangle their wallet and BHVR will bend over backwards just to make their every wish come true.

How anyone can unironcally sat that this update is killer sided is way beyond me and maybe this people should get themselves checked, because they show a severe lack of perceiving reality.

It wasn't even that strong, but since it's not strong anyway nerfing this doesn't really affect anyone either.

Maybe slight decrease in inflated kill rates could happen, honestly this perk better be removed because it doesn't even be a crutch perk while meaninglessly inflating kill rates.

I wonder if the devs consider NOED/bloodwarden plays as valid as they do tunneling and camping.

The game isn't over until you leave. Powering up 5 gens isn't the end of the game. You still have to power and get out of the gates. That's the end of the game. Anything that stops you from getting out is fair game, regardless of when the perk lights up.

Better than nothing but don't think it is heavily tweaked.

Still gonna be annoying for Solo and hooked near Noed is still confirmed death.

At least, teammates can choose to leave seeing the aura.

Also survivor meta perks are changed hugely so trying for totem detection perk or Soul Guard can be worth trying I guess.

How is nerfing noed "ruin(ing) SoloQ even more"? I understand if you wanted it nerfed harder or reworked but how does this change make things worse?

Endgame collapse is not bad play.

People only hate NOED cause they want to "epic moments" in endgame saves, and taking away protection hits makes those Survivors cry foul. NOED has never been a problem for the #JUSTLEAVE crowd.

Better than the old version? Yeah, sure.

Was it a good change though that fixed the core problems with the perk? No, it wasn't.

Still a problem? Yeah, it rewards bad players with undeserved kills and artificially inflates kill rate statistics skewing the perception of the games balance. Not an OP perk at all, just an unhealthy designed perk.

You really have not hope, do you?

I never talked about survivor perks on this topic because this topic is about "NOED".

Go and open topic about "How unfair was DH" and i will write similar things on this topic too. Because DH is fixed your mistakes and it was unhealthy.

But no, on this forum you are killer main or survivor main. You can not talk about both sides, you have to support only one side.

So my dear friend Mr/Mrs Whataboutism, everyone are not like you. Some people loves both sides and talks both side problems. Keep that in your mind.
