Freddy's Stealth Mechanic
So I was looking for information online and wasn't able to really find much. So I was hoping to get some information about Freddy's stealth mechanic. So from what I understand, while the survivors are awake, they cannot see him from a distance but can hear his terror radius, then once he comes within a certain radius he begins phasing in and out of sight. Thing is, is I remember seeing his stain at least when he's invisible. Is this correct, you see a disembodied stain floating around? Is there legitimately anyway a killer could make use of the invisibility and phasing while the survivors are awake, or is it as bad as it sounds?

It is as bad as it sounds.
At best, it can make your approach slightly easier, but that is as far as it goes.
The only good thing Freddy currently has, if any, is the teleport. But even that can be questioned.

Freddy and stealth is kind of non existent. So many stealth perks dont work with his lullaby. Thematically the lullaby is brilliant for freddy. But from a gameplay perspective it massively limits his build option since 90% of stealth perks don't work on him. Kinda wished they gave him two separate terror radiuses tbh.

It used to be the opposite.
The lullaby was heard by awake Survivors, while the TR was heard by those who were asleep.
That way, you could make use of stealth perks and add-ons (Freddy had one) to make Dream World more deadly than it already was.
Ah, if BHVR just listened to me for a moment, we could still have that.

Now every freddy runs 4 x slowdowns because half of the perks rooster dosent work with him.

It is a sad state of affairs, isn't it?

I remember using monitor and even insidious just to see the aura of awake survivors.

I used Monitor and RPB to have a zero meters TR and sent myself to Léry's.
Those were some of the best trials I've ever played. It was like Mirror Myers, but far stronger and more fun for both sides.

he also had 24 meter base-TR, he could reduce to 16 and red paint brush reduced his tr further by another 8. so he could have 8 meter TR although i believe red paint brush had drawback that reduced his movement from 4.6->4.4 (yes this killer apparently needed to be 110% m/s).
you can use monitor&abuse and black pill bottle. you will have no tr for 24 meters and be completely invisible within 24 meters. this combination punishes the survivor for awaking up. the problem.... is that there isn't any point to currently wake up against freddy. so I just stay in dream world all game.
I'd say his black pill bottle is probably his best add-on now, despite it being really easy to counter.

No, it reduced the TR to zero.
24 meters at base.
RPB reduced it to 8, not 16.
M&A reduced it to zero.
That is why RPB had the movement speed drawback. I think it was fair.

Oh, nice!
I used this build many times for fun, and those were some of my best trials, easily.

He needs a buff badly
