Why does the Blight still slide off certain cars and bushes?
I'm curious as to if this is intentional, that certain bushes (Like the kindergarden for freddies level) or specific design models of cars are unable to be bounced off of as the Blight? Is this a bug still? Should we still be reporting this?

Collisions on this game have always been ify. You can take advantage of them if you know what has and doesn't have collisions. It is a part of learning killers like Blight and Billy, and Demo.

The cars on badham have no collision for basically all killers afaik. It can actually be pretty useful for blight and billy to curve around the loop

Because it’s an intentionally created mechanic.
People mix up hug tech and sliding. Hug tech is one way to slide. Sliding is the bigger umbrella. Hug tech is unintentional, sliding isn’t.

I was wondering this as well. I played several matches as Blight and kept sliding off stuff, I was yelling ######### half the time. One match on Ormond it happend around 8 times. I got 2 downs the whole match. They powered the gates and I just walked up to the gate, opened it for them, and had them leave.
End game chat I said "Man, I am so bad with this guy." One Survivor that I had been chasing said "Actually you're not. Your angles were fine and you were aiming well. You were just sliding off everything you went to bounce."

Blight's bump hitbox only goes from his shoulders to his waist, so if an object sticks out any higher or lower than that, Blight will slide off of it. McLean spent months trying to fix it, but never could actually get it fixed.
BHVR knows about the issue, but I think they stopped caring after McLean left.

I mean... wouldn't you just expand the variables of the hitbox to make it bigger? Why would that take months to fix? Make the blights bump hitbox go to his shins or ankles.

Because they are wrong. It is an intentional feature.

As I recall when Blight first came out he was getting stopped by all kinds of things that shouldn’t stop him. They reduced the size of his collision box to prevent that, but it does make it so he sometimes doesn’t stop when he hits something you expect would stop him. It’s probably just one of those parameters that’s got a very tricky balance point so it’ll never look perfect. 🤷♂️

Being completely unable to bump off of certain objects, because those objects stick out too high or too low, is absolutely unintended. This is completely separate from the object sliding mechanic.

It was absolutely suggested to BHVR to extend his bump hitbox to his entire body. They refused.

He's supposed to be able to bounce off of everything. It's an oversight that some cars have angles that stick out too low, so Blight slides uncontrollably off of them. It's an oversight that Ormond has over 100 things Blight slides uncontrollably off of.
The more elegant solution would be to stop Blight from getting stuck on tiny objects. If a shack wall has a low stone wall along the ground, Blight should still be able to bounce off of that shack wall. We shouldn't have these scenarios where these low rock walls stick out 0.5 inches, and Blight's foot gets stuck on it. We shouldn't have scenarios where Blight can't bump off of certain tree angles, because his feet get stuck on a root that barely sticks out of the ground.

Okay so the orange bile that he drools gets all over his clothes and it turns out that stuff is like melted butter! No wonder he's slipping and sliding all over the place and drifting!
But in all honesty...I have no idea why you can't do certain things.
